Day #10 of the Top 50 songs on my iTunes playlist -- ranked in reverse order by play frequency from #50 to #1 and presented here on a series of FR threads. I'm posting them here on a new thread that compiles the growing list one day at a time over the next couple of months. I only post them on weekdays and may miss a day or two here and there, so it will take at least ten weeks to do this.
And to show my gratitude to the FR management for giving us all a forum to post vanity threads like this, I'll be making a contribution for the current quarterly fundraiser. I would encourage everyone on these threads to do the same! :-)
Have fun with this, folks!
(One thing I noticed when I started is that there was a tie at the end of the list for #50, so there will actually be 51 songs on 51 threads here.)
#42 -- “The World I Know” by Collective Soul ... Click Here (YouTube version)
#50T -- "Solsbury Hill" by Peter Gabriel
#50T -- "Fly Over States" by Jason Aldean
#49 -- "Sara" by Fleetwood Mac
#48 -- Bagpipe Medley by the Simon Fraser University Pipe Band (2009 World Pipe Band Championships)
#47 -- "How I'll Always Be" by Tim McGraw
#46 -- "Midnight On The Interstate" by Trampled By Turtles
#45 -- "Your Love" by The Outfield
#44 -- "Ventura Highway" by America
#43 -- "Like A Rock" by Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band
#42 -- "The World I Know" by Collective Soul
Let me know if you’d like to be added or removed from the ping list!
That is a great song. I don’t have a play list, but if I did, that song would be on it.
I’ll toss one in:
You and l (when we were young) - The Strawbs

needs more cowbell...
Hmm.. when it comes to cow bells, less is more ..always
Keeping pace with your countdown, my #42 most played iTunes song is "Pancho And Lefty" by Emmylou Harris. This is from her Luxury Liner album in 1976, quite possibly her finest album (and she has had quite a few).
Emmylou Harris - Pancho & Lefty (1976)
A few years after this album, Merle Haggard & Willie Nelson would record their own version of "Pancho & Lefty" which is highly recommended. However, Emmylou has the best version in my opinion. This song was written by Townes Van Zandt by the way.
My countdown so far...
Today's update will be coming out shortly!
Back in the day, I thought she was one of the most beautiful women on the planet.
