I see I missed a couple of threads, allow me to catch up.

Keeping pace with your countdown, my #42 most played iTunes song is "Pancho And Lefty" by Emmylou Harris. This is from her Luxury Liner album in 1976, quite possibly her finest album (and she has had quite a few).

A few years after this album, Merle Haggard & Willie Nelson would record their own version of "Pancho & Lefty" which is highly recommended. However, Emmylou has the best version in my opinion. This song was written by Townes Van Zandt by the way.

No worries about missing threads. That is an excellent example of a great tune that can make its way into the Top 50 on any given list of MP3/MP4 songs!
