Indictments Coming for Congress?

Posted on 08/27/2024 8:55:01 PM PDT by redheadedshannon

I was on X (Twitter) earlier, after Jack Smiths reindictment of Trump & came across a news site claiming that in September, Smith would also be bringing indictments to over a hundred sitting Republican members of Congress. It included something specifically about Marjorie Taylor Greene. Admittedly, i'm not her biggest fan sometimes (I've never been a fan of sassiness personally), but are they going to try harassing her in the courts too? It's funny how when you feel under attack- all the petty stuff melts away. I don't mind telling anyone- it had me spooked! Might have even cried a little. Does anyone know anything about this subject?

"If you’re only using this place for news, you’re missing a lot of news."

How's that? Most of the news, especially TV news is nothing but fake news to begin with, and they only tell you what they think you should know.

I'm 77, and don't have much time left to waste listening to or watching fake news. FR has provided me for the past 26 years both sides of issues, even the vomit warning threads, local news from states all over this country, political news, international news, even video and social media clips that Freepers think are important, etc. It's all here if I want to read it. They do all the work, and I enjoy the benefits of their work.

“All they need do is offer them citizenship if they serve in the military. His army will be trained, armed and more then willing to shoot the citizens on the street..”

The troops will be slaughtered, and the generals lined up in front of open pits.

I subscribe to a number of news sites, such as “Just the News” by John Solomon, and several others. There are useful sites. as far as TV - I’ve only had one maybe 2 years my entire adult life! :-)

it’s all coming to a head, and the retribution is going to be exciting, beautiful, and we’ll all be happy.

A large number of Just the News articles are posted here, as are likely some of the others you subscribe to. I get enough crap in my emails that I don't have to subscribe to any news sites to get notices of new articles, when I can simply peruse them on FR.

You are correct, of course. I save time by reading in email; as I only have limited computer time. FR is definitely the best news site on the planet.

That's the benefit of being old, and being retired. Nobody controls how I spend my time but me. I spend a lot of my time reading history books, and books from other genres. I usually have five hardback/paperbacks going at one time, plus I read from two books on my Kindle when I head to bed. I don't begin viewing programs on streaming channels until 9 p.m. or so. And because I'm retired, I don't usually go to bed until 3 or 4 a.m. every morning. I worked 3-11 p.m. most of my career, and never got out of the habit of staying up late. I've been retired for almost 21 years now, so the early morning times I stay up to, have been extended over those years.

MTG was a general contractor before she ran for Congress.

Dealing with a-hole men comes naturally to her.
