A New Jersey Transit bus driver has been arrested for allegedly pummeling a straphanger and putting him in a chokehold in a caught-on-camera attack after the passenger apparently spat on him mid-route.
The driver, Toron Walker, was nabbed after the violent altercation with the male passenger erupted on a crowded bus in Newark on Friday afternoon, RLS Media reported.
Footage of the ordeal allegedly showed the driver pinning the male passenger down to one of the seats by his neck before slamming him down in the middle of the aisle.

I’d rather be punched in the face, than spat on... The driver had every right to manhandle this lunatic.
This Salon article (yes, I know) is informative and even amusing
“If anybody can explain to me where they come up with these names I’d be forever grateful.”
This may help:
My wife was a schoolteacher for decades. One of the things she did on the first day of school was to ask each student the origins of their first names. A black, young lady named Catrice said that her mom was looking in the refrigerator for a bowl of rice. “Catrice” sounds French to me. LOL At that moment her mom looked on top of the refrigerator where the cat was laying. “Cat” and “Rice” hence.....Catrice. The lady went to give birth the following day.
It makes sense, I suppose, but not to any intelligent being. ;-)
Not guilty under the “F*ck around and find out” statute.
Driver defending himself.
So then that makes this a case of self defense by the bus driver.
The reason why New Jersey doesnt have a whole lot of bad behavior like this is because this is a FAFO state. You can get away with a foul mouth but foul behavior will get you an ass beating fast.
“So then that makes this a case of self defense by the bus driver.”
Should, and it should be a case of citizen’s arrest. But the courts insist that we just allow ourselves to be helpless victims.
Seems to me the spitter assaulted 1st. Payback’s a b****.
I hope the driver doesn’t have consequences.
I agree! No hawk tuah on this bus, dangit!
“Headline says “spitting”. I imagined the perpetrator spitting on the floor. That is very different from “spitting on him” (on the bus driver.)”
There is always more than just the headline. In the article:
“in a caught-on-camera attack after the passenger apparently spat on him mid-route.”
The nickname “Toron the Moron” will go down in history and will forever be remembered just because of that photo. LOL.
Ralph Kramden: “One of these days, Torone, one of these days... Pow! Right in the kisser.”
Those in government want everyone using public transportation. You will like. It’s good for you.
EXACTLY
NOT ACCEPTABLE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
NO DRIVER of public transportation should have to take that kind of behavior—especially from today’s ILLEGALS.
GOD only knows what diseases can be spread.
BEST STATUE WE CAN EVER HAVE.
Thanks for the link.
That’s hilarious.
Hollyweirdos aside, I do take exception to the article dragging White folks into it, as those names are now more “designer” than unintelligible.
Names like Conner, Cooper, Baker and Hunter I can at least make sense of.
Cops discretion sucks.
“If anybody can explain to me where they come up with these names I’d be forever greatful. SMH”
I tried to look up an answer to your question, but the first two articles were along the lines of, suck it up, you are racist. When I was hiring people, I read a few articles on finding good candidates. One study floated a large number of duplicate fake candidates for jobs. Same resumes but different names. So, you’d get a resume from Jack Hardy or Tanakaj Jones. The results were exactly what you’d think. The non-black sounding names got significantly more positive response than the ridiculous names. Parents who name their children ridiculous names are handicapping them for life.
Our HR director had a privately funded study on how to minimize the risk of hiring a new employee. This was based on studying employee lawsuits. I don’t recall all of the recommendations but in short, don’t hire a Democrat. Don’t hire someone the government provides a free lawyer to. There were several others don’t based on lawsuits, but I can’t recall them. I want to say weird nonstandard names was on the list, but I can’t be sure.
