A shocking video circulating on social media has exposed staff members at a Knoxville, Tennessee dental office for mercilessly mocking a cancer patient's private diary while reading it aloud.
The footage, which appears to have been recorded and shared online by a giggling employee, shows a staff member of Premier Dental Group of Knoxville reading passages from a patient's journal to nearby colleagues.
The video shows employees laughing at the patient's thoughts on different treatment options and concerns about various procedures.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage, with many condemning the dental practice and calling for a boycott, KVUE reported.
Premier Dental Group of Knoxville posted an apology on Facebook, acknowledging the 'inappropriate video created and shared by some of our employees that addressed an individual's medical condition in a disrespectful and unprofessional manner.'
However, the practice's profile disappeared shortly after the statement was published.
'We deeply regret this incident and the hurt has caused,' the practice wrote in the since-deleted apology, according to WBIR.
The group acknowledged the gravity of the situation and claimed to be investigating.
'We take this matter very seriously. We have initiated a thorough investigation into the incident and are taking immediate steps to address it. The employees involved have been addressed and we are reviewing our internal policies and training procedures to ensure that such an incident does not happen again.'

This a BLATANT violation of HIPPA laws.
They should either immediately FIRE those involved at the VERY least.
If they do NOT, the either shut them down or charge them a
staggering amount of money DAILY, until they do.
Many moons ago, when I first entered the medical field
I forgot to turn over a patients chart, when somebody walked up to me to ask me a question.
The charge nurse caught it, I caught HOLY HELL!
She went up one side and down the other, and deservedly so.
In the remaining 39 years of my career, it NEVER happened again.
I hope this cancer patient sues then to the moon and back!
“There is absolutely no IQ requirement for being a doctor.
Half of all doctors are literally below average for being a doctor. It is a mathematical fact.”
So they’re like Freepers.
Actually I have worked in the area and do know what I am talking about.
What is said publicly these days and what is real are two different things.
I never said there was a requirement. The coursework requires the 120 level of IQ.
That squeaker will also be among the 50% of physicians who are, BY DEFINITION, below “average” (technically, below the median; I’m sure you know the difference).
...........................
Below the median of the PROFESSION?
Yes, I would expect that.
Fat skanks and Man Bun. Somehow, not shocked.
What do you call the guy who was the worst cadet at West Point?
General George Armstrong Custer
Im not connected to the dental world.
Around here the healthcare providers are primarily Aurora, Prevea, and Bellin.
Im aware of incidences at Aurora and Prevea but it seems standard at Bellin. Im aware of pretty questionable interactions at Bellin and were I a lawyer probably suggest always recording regardless of signage were that legal in that state.
This isn't even the first time they've been in trouble. The end of the article says:
"In 2023, the practice agreed to pay around $1 million to settle a lawsuit over allegations of scamming the Tennessee's Medicaid program and potentially endangering patients through unqualified staff and unnecessary procedures."
And made dirt poor and homeless.
It’s the usual braindead lefty suspects.
So half are more stupid than 120.
Exactly!
So half are more stupid than 120.
........
No not at all.
Dunno, but with that kind of name, probably.
Thanks!
It will be lower when all the DEI’s are “practicing” medicine.
Reminds me of the old joke, what do you call a person who graduated at the bottom of their medical class? Doctor.
If you're not supposed to be looking at a patients chart you can be in a LOT of trouble.
It's called HIPPA, Health Information Privacy Protocol Accords''. Making jokes about a person's condition or making insulting , racist or denigrating comments will get you fired and you could end up facing criminal prosecution.
