In what world does thrashing around like an epileptic ghetto rat qualify as a sport??
Let alone Olympic level sport???
it’s a performance, nothing more, and it’s not even entertainment!
I’d rather watch -synchronized- er, umm, I mean “artistic” swimming...
and it’s twice as funny in reverse!

Break dancing, skate boarding, trampolines....all of it.
Olympics are about warrior sports showcasing speed, strength and agility. New catagories for new-age, trendy fads produce ridiculous displays like this one.

Man that horse chick has a serious look on her face as she prances around with a broom stick. Then I saw the blue hair and realized “well, obviously.”

LOL...I never even saw the blue hair. Couldn’t miss the tats, though.
When our daughter competed in Hunter Jumper, she and the other riders had that same intense gaze at the course. They had to memorize the route through the jumps and only had a little bit of time to memorize it.

Women’s Beach Volleyball has a place in the Olympics. I oppose any attempt to replace it.

As I remember from Olympics of decades ago events like freeform gymnastics weren’t rigid, flexed sporadic exertions of some difficult exercises awkwardly placed throughout a rushed routine.
They seemed to be more naturally transitioning and flowing - much easier to watch and enjoy. Today’s stuff isn’t something I’d pay to see at all.
This Break Dancing stuff? Ridiculous attempt to contemporize the games to get younger attendees, viewership and MONEY. So, as an old fart, I guess my time for the Olympics is over and out.

Same! I wouldn’t even be able to watch myself in a mirror do her dance and here she did it in front of a billion people!

This would have been an SNL skit 20 years ago

I watched a few moments of the video at the link - the first images I have chosen to watch of the recently completed Paris games.
The Olympics could use a wall to keep out junk sports.
The Olympic Games have jumped the shark.

She's probably the reason why the Olympics already announced that "Breaking" won't be coming back for at least the next two Olympics.
I told someone that maybe this would be interesting if they had to use hoops or streamers like with Rhythmic Gymnastics, but even that was dropped after five tries.

Serious pro-level rope jumping single and team is really incredible. Watch "Lauren Jumps" on YT. Wow. The rope is SO fast I can't even follow it. Her athleticism is amazing.
This link is to a YouTube short of Lauren. She has lots of others, too.

Breakdancing?
Well, the next Olympics is in Los Angeles so they can have events from the Youth Gang Competition like in the movie "I'm Gonna Get You Sucker" (1988).
