I saw Walz do Namaste once. Trying to be a soyboy cool communist. He is as fake as Kamala.
Yes, the Italian worm Gramsci.
I've been involved with Zen for 40+ years and have a number of Buddhist friends. After all this time the gesture is natural to me.
It’s probably just an affectation he thinks looks cool because he’s seen some celebrity he likes do it. From the way he carefully crafted the statements about his military service in his bio, in speaking and on the internet, I’d say he thinks a lot about what people might think about him - the gesture may just be a small part of all that..
That it does.
“He’s a Lutheran not a Presbyterian.”
“A difference without a distinction?”
Ah, but for the Lutheran J.S. Bach!
In liberal Protestantism, e.g., the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America or the Presbyterian Church USA, the real beliefs are rooted in secular humanism and not the Reformation era creeds. Darwin, Freud, and Marx have replaced Luther, Calvin, and Cranmer as their church fathers.
Illuminati??
Supposedly, Tomorrow it’s going to come out that Walz STOLE PENSIONERS MOMEY FROM THEIR ACCOUNTS!
He is an ECLA Lutheran, the far, far far left element that left Christianity some time ago.
There’s bigger flaws to exploit - if someone gives way for me at a 4 way stop sign or renders some other courtesy, I use the gesture as a sign of thanks.
He’s been to China over 30 times. He probably picked it up there.
Okay, got it. Thanks.
I’m sure that would be ELCA, which has nothing to do with either Luther or Christ.
WRONG!
The Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) and several other Presbyterian denominations are biblically sound. Don’t group them with Presbyterian Church USA that has drifted away.
Lutherans and presbyterians are different doctrinally. While both adhere to the Nicene creed (which is a defining statement identifying Christians), they do differ on sacraments, most especially the True presence of Christ in the Eucharist, baptism, and ecclesiastical beliefs.
“they do differ on sacraments, most especially the True presence of Christ in the Eucharist”
Lutherans believe in the true presence of Christ in the Eucharist? (I assume “Eucharist” means communion / Lord’s Supper?)
I didn’t know that. I’m Presbyterian and we definitely don’t believe that; we believe it’s symbolic.
