One of the entries on this list that's a bit on the eclectic side. This was the winning performance at the 2009 World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow, Scotland. 15 years later and they still talk about it as one of the best ever.
#50T -- "Solsbury Hill" by Peter Gabriel
#50T -- "Fly Over States" by Jason Aldean
#49 -- "Sara" by Fleetwood Mac
#48 -- Bagpipe Medley by the Simon Fraser University Pipe Band (2009 World Pipe Band Championships)
Pinging to those from the previous threads. Let me know if you’d like me to drop you from the ping list!
I have thousands of songs on my iTunes, but I seldom listen to them because of my other options like SiriusXM and Apple Music. I thought iTunes was on the way out. It might become unsupported. Are there any alternatives where I could switch my iTunes library?
TIA for any suggestions. I am naïve in this area.
*That’s* what you call “eclectic.” Placing things like this in a shuffle is what makes music listening so much more pleasurable.
I do not have this particar recording of "Bagpipe Medley" by Simon Fraser University Pipe Band. My #48 song in terms of plays in Apple Music is Lobo's "Me And You And A Dog Named Boo" which is also a curious tune to be the most played out of the many thousands of songs I have.
THat particular song brings me back to a time in the early 1970s when I was about 10 years old and it's always been a favorite since. It's in a playlist of mine that I play often that includes a lot of early 1970s "sunshine pop" like Partridge Family, Cowsills, and Mamas and Papas.
