Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Bagheri has said that Iran-Russia ties are strategic and deep, which will never be disrupted with change of governments, News.Az reports citing IRNA.
The military official made the comment as he hosted Russia’s Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu in Tehran on Monday.
Bagheri said that the US is aware that unipolar power has come to an end in the world, adding that the Islamic Republic welcomes trilateral cooperation between Iran, Russia and China.

Russia was “reserved” with what they were willing to give Iran regards arms in the past.
They were hesitant to give Iran certain air defense, anti-ship, longer range and hyper-sonic missiles. All things Iran wants and Russia has.
As Russia’s war industrial complex ramps up, expect Russia to be far more liberal in what they are willing to give to Iran.
On this last major Russian delagation visit, the lead for the Russians (right behind Shoigu) was basically the person responsible for their arms exports.
This was very foreseeable and frankly deserved. We’re arming the enemies of Russia, so Russia will arm our enemies.

Isreal did not fair that well in their last Lebonon incursion when Hezbolla handed them their ass.
Don’t get me wrong, I am on Israel’s side, but it’s a lot like cancer, living in an illusionary world doesn’t help you make better decisions.
Isreal is surrounded by nations which have economically and militarily grown over the last years and frankly not even our comitment to Israel is as solid as it was years past. These neighbors are economically more important to us and have influence on our policy makers. See the US luke-warm support of Israel today, even straddling the issue and taking the Palestinian side at times.
The real saving grace for Israel is that its neighbors are on much friendlier terms today, may that be Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan. These nations actually work together on many security issues, even if there are a lot of people inside these nations which see Israel as the bad guy...
