CNN busted Trump running mate pick Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) over unearthed recordings in which he refers to childless people as “sociopaths” and “psychotic” amid outrage over similar comments.
Vance has faced outrage this week over a 2021 interview that went viral, in which Vance derided “childless cat ladies” who “don’t really have a direct stake in” the country.
In an interview with Fox News, Vance claimed critics were “aggressively lying” about what he said and that his remarks were “radically taken this out of context.”
But on Tuesday’s edition of CNN News Central, anchor John Berman ran down a fresh set of “context” unearthed by KFile’s Andrew Kaczynski:

Not just childless cat ladies. Turns out there are many more ways Trump’s running mate has described people without children. The word sociopath used a lot.
JOHN BERMAN: Brand new this morning. More than childless cat ladies. Way more new reporting from CNN’s KFile this morning on Republican vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance.
The controversial comments he made questioning the judgment of people without children– they were not a one off. In May of 2019, he told the crowd, quote, “Babies are good because we’re not sociopaths.”
JD VANCE: I’ve seen people who become more attached to their communities, to their families, to their country, because they have children.
So I would say that we should care about declining fertility, not just because it’s bad for our economy, but because we think babies are good– and we think babies are good because we’re not sociopaths.
JOHN BERMAN: Then, in November of 2020, during a podcast appearance, he said this.
JD VANCE: There is just these basic cadences of life that I think are really powerful and really, really valuable when you have kids in your life.
And the fact that so many people, especially in America’s leadership class, just don’t have that in their lives.
You know, I worry that it makes people more sociopathic and ultimately our whole country a little bit less, less mentally stable.
And of course, you talk about going on Twitter. Final point I’ll make is you go on Twitter, and almost always, the people who are most deranged and most psychotic are people who don’t have kids at all.
JOHN BERMAN: In August of 2021, in a fundraising email, CNN found he appealed to donors by mentioning the, quote, “radical, childless leaders in this country.”.
And then he tweeted in 2021, quote, “Cat ladies must be stopped.”
It would’ve been more accurate to have said that many recent world leaders were childless, then that American political leaders were childless.
This all depends on how you look at it. Obviously most single people are not psychotic, but it is true that most psychotics are childless. Tell me- was Thomas Matthew Crooks childless? Might he have not gone down the road he did if he had a child to think about. You could say that maybe Vance just used stupid terminology to defend the meaning of family. That which the democrats have destroyed.
They are sociopaths.

They do this to any future star of the party. They shoot arrows aimed at both today and tomorrow. They drive up someone’s negatives and then proclaim that those high negatives disqualify them.
Most of us can’t stand your boy, Little Marco. But regardless, Trump is a resident of the same state. So stop carrying water for the media or we will know why you signed up last year.

Whoever Trump picked was going to be attacked. Vance has to hit back, that’s all.
With that said, JD was wrong when he said childless people are running the country. I checked all the Wikipedia files for every Democrat woman currently in the U.S. Senate and the House. The majority of them have children. Many left-leaning people are parents. Biden had children, and so did the Obamas and the Clintons.
Vance and his wife started having children in their 30’s. They were childless the first 6 years of their marriage while they worked on their careers.
I happily gave up my career ambitions to raise my children. So, just because JD and anyone else in office has children doesn’t mean their points of view are the same as other parents.
