The 57.0 degree F global median temperature line between warm and cold centuries caught my eye.
Are you familiar with the Watts Up With That website?
If not, it is the most visited Climate Change Skeptic website in the world. Many scientists and engineers Comment there.
If you scroll the right hand margin of WUWT, you will discover Real Time Global Temperature data from the Temperature-Global website.
Temp-Global has been scanning 50,000 to 70,000 weather stations every hour since 2015.
Until 18 months ago, their average global temp was 57.2 F or cooler for 7 of 9 years.
18 months ago - after the Tonga undersea volcano explosion - the global average temp shot up from 57.2 to as high as 58.3 F.
It has flat lined around 58.1 F for the last three months.
Full disclosure...
Temperature-Global actually measures Temperature Deviation from a thirty year running average - but, I am trying to keep it simple for all Freepers who might read this post.
It has already changed.
Thanks! That’s a lot of work to succinctly explain their nonsense.
This part sound like Bill Gates and the WEF and the Rockefeller Foundation who all want to get rid of Real Food and replace it with bio-engineered crap that they will hold the patents on.
The "carbon footprint" of that way outweighs natural food due to the infrastructure involved. Any good market gardener can supply enough good veggies for 50 families with a walk behind tractor they use a few times a year, outdoors on the ground, in the sunlight.
How does that compare to this?
AeroFarms already supplies a lot of Walmarts, Kroger etc. CRISPR Cas 9 is being worked on to genetically alter plants to better grow in the above conditions and may already be in play.
Our dinner tonight was all from our garden except some steak that we bought from a local rancher. Oh, and I used two eggs to bread some zucchini and got those eggs from a good friend who has chickens and ducks and we get as many eggs from them as we want.
Grow your own food, or buy from local farms, or both, even better.
You can’t feed billions of people “locally.”
You need thousands and thousands of acres to do it.

Had never heard about a consent decree.
FWIW
Any food crises is going to be a result of human and government interference in agriculture.
The article speaks in socialistic speak and essentially says that the worlds population is undernourished and that malnourishment is increasing,
as indicated by world-wide increased levels of obesity, diabetes, and hunger especially in third world countries.
I stopped reading when the author said that wind and solar power is so much cheaper than fossil fuels, and is the answer to the food production and nutritional crisis (spit !)
If you want to discourage obesity and malnutrition, get rid of "high fructose corn syrup" because it is in everything from breakfast cereals to tomato sauce, to pizza and snack foods.
The body stores high fructose syrup as fat, since it doesn't know how to break it down; since normal sugars do, and is converted into energy for the body.
The article is enwrapped in woke, WEF, and double-speak and wealth redistribution
“Thanks for violating the consent decree.”
I have never seen Jim Rob or admins say anything about posting a link to archive
When climate change comes around we will dine on zee bugs. If they are still around.
Thanks.
I’ll definitely check out that website.
They did to me.
Unrelentingly, 24x7.

...making not just markets but the whole agricultural Rube Goldberg network less reliable...
Anyone who does not understand Adam Smith's invisible hand is going to see any robust capitalist system as a "Rube Goldberg network". But, based on actual results, it is the most efficient, productive and prosperity-inducing method of allocating goods and services ever devised by man. The author is demonstrating complete ignorance.
...The economist Isabella Weber has proposed maintaining the food equivalent of a strategic petroleum reserve, to buffer against shortages and ease inevitable bursts of market chaos...
Somehow this sounds just like the story of Joseph and Pharoah in Genesis 41. Why do I think the author would appalled to find out this plan comes straight from the word of God and is about 4000 years old?
Food becomes a complete means of control.
