Bernie Sanders, 82, issues stark warning to Kamala Harris about major issue that could cost her the election (mansion inequality?)

Bernie Sanders has issued a stark warning to Democratic nominee hopeful Kamala Harris that she needs to battle economic inequality or face losing the election.

The 82-year-old Independent addressed 250 supporters during a town hall meeting on Friday afternoon about what he believes to be the biggest problems in America.

After an audience member at the event chimed in that the biggest problem was economic inequality, he spoke at length over its far-reaching implications.

He told the crowd: 'Discrepancies between rich and poor, income and wealth inequality. I happen to tend to agree.'

Speaking with The Boston Globe after delivering the remarks, Sanders said: '[Harris] needs to have an agenda that speaks to the crisis facing working families all over this country.'

Sanders added: 'I think the Democrats are going to have to be very, very clear as to what ideas they have in the midst of massive income and wealth inequality.

'When the people on top have never, ever had it so good, what is the agenda to protect the needs of the working class?'

He continued: 'It's not my job to dictate what policies she needs to have', but added he wishes to see Social Security and Medicare benefits expanded.

Sanders also called for a revival of the pandemic-era child tax credit, adding: 'I think if a candidate for president adopts these ideas, it will be to her significant political advantage. Not to mention being the right thing to do.'

When asked about Republican nominee Donald Trump, he said: 'I’m going to do everything I can to see that Donald Trump is defeated.'

He added that the former president is 'the most dangerous person in American history' and 'a pathological liar.'

Economic inequality? Like economic inequality caused by inflation? Devaluation of the dollar? Higher taxes? The old yenta Bernie doesn't know sh*t about economics; he does know how to blackmail TPTB into buying him mansions.

The starting point of all these discussions is that everyone should naturally have economic equity. And, if they don’t, evil forces must be at work that cause the inequity.

I am not saying that people don’t get exploited; it happens all the time. However, many of the poor people I know are poor because of really bad decisions they made along the way. Most of it comes down to choosing what seems best in the short term at the expense of the long term. If you have some discipline and can think proactively, that is more than half the battle.

You nailed it.

That was the concept discussed by Edward Banfield in an old book “The Unheavenly City”.

He argued that the biggest difference between rich people and poor people was time horizons.

The wealthy think about what actions they can take to make life better for their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The poor think about getting drugs or sex in the next five minutes.

“The wealthy think about what actions they can take to make life better for their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.”

Which is why I can’t understand why the super wealthy are the ones donating BILLIONS to the Democrats, when it’s obvious the RATs want to destroy the country. But I guess they’re so arrogant they believe that when the country as we know it is destroyed, they’ll be in the crème de la crème class.

Many of the billionaires are sociopaths.

Sociopaths want the power to rule over others—and desire a world in which a few wealthy live in great splendor while everybody else is a slave.

That is exactly what the Democrat Party policies do.

They reward the wealthy insiders and punish everybody else.

Sanders is 82..82. And he is still partially running this country.

This phenomenon of ancient politicians I think has something to do with our mess. We need (more) term limits.

we have a writing board in the kitchen for the recipe du jour and the pithy sayings written on it. when “Troubled” fam come to visit and start the “my life sucks” tropes I March them into the kitchen for show and tell. two pithy sayings written on it have been there for a decade and they STILL don’t get it...”What you do NOW lays the foundation for what happens to you next” is the most prominent, and most ignored. second best...”People don’t always remember what you do or what you say but they ALWAYS remember how you made them feel” is aimed directly at the ones who are too self centered and narcissistic to realize or care how their addictions affect those who care. or those about to NOT care anymore. fyi...never forget that when it comes to troubled family, the old and appropriate saying “NO good deed goes unpunished” is not just empty words...it’s a promise.

Because they’re globalists who believe they’ll be part of the “more equal.”

I find it interesting that Communists are blind to history, blind to outcomes. South Africa was a prosperous Country. Apartheid was the impetus for a political upheaval . When the Black took over to enforce equity South Africa experienced tremendous violence, farms taken over failed, productivity fell of a cliff.
The left says, “That’s what we need in America”.

Excerpt
Income per capita has been falling for over a decade. Unemployment at over 33% is the world’s highest, and youth unemployment exceeds 60%. Poverty has risen to 55.5% based on the national poverty line, yet many more households depend on government transfers to sustain meager livelihoods.
Most cities are failing to adequately connect people to productive opportunities and are failing to innovate, grow, and drive inclusion. Rural areas in former homelands, where almost 30% of South Africans live, exhibit dismally low employment rates and remain exceptionally poor.
State capacity has collapsed across many government functions that are essential for a functioning economy. Critical network industries, including electricity, transport infrastructure and services, security, and water and sanitation have experienced major deteriorations over the last 15 years.
The economy has been forced to cope with increasing electricity rationing, leading to a declaration of national disaster in February 2023 after more than 15 years of load shedding. Rail and port capacity has declined, generating large losses in exports. The collapse in state capacity to deliver key inputs has, in effect, squandered the country’s comparative advantage in cheap, coal-fired electricity.
Urban crime is very high, and theft and sabotage undermine the functioning of many national infrastructure systems. Communities across the country are increasingly vulnerable to all forms of disaster — both natural and manmade — due to weakened public services. National finances are under increasing strain as South Africa relies on fiscal transfers to bail out state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and to redistribute national income to households to alleviate poverty and hardship.
Many municipalities now face severe fiscal challenges which undermine already weak public service delivery. South Africa is seeing signs of unsustainability in its repeated credit downgrades and large sovereign risk premia. All the while, as growth slows, exclusionary forces are becoming more entrenched.

And there is the core problem;; when socialists and other Democrats start treating government money like they treat their own money, then the country can have intelligent discussions about "how much do we spend on the care and feeding of illegal aliens, should we provide defined benefit pensions to government employees if it causes a budget deficit", and so on

until then, it's just some crazy old commie like Sanders ranting about spending money we don't have.
