We may have just witnessed THE most incredible eight consecutive days in contemporary America from a political standpoint.
Since July 13 the Nation - nay, World, has seen:
- assassination attempt on Trump,
-Biden asks for calm, then calls Trump a threat to democracy,
-Judge tosses out the “documents” case, declaring Jack Smith’s appointment was unconstitutional,
-RNC convention with Trump appearance with bandaged ear,
-Secret Service under fire,
-Biden rambles thru a Lester Holt interview that digs a deeper hole,
-Dems from Pelosi on down demand Biden steps aside from the nomination,
-Vance selected as VP candidate,
-Biden comes down with Covid, retreats to Delaware,
-Trump delivers a magnificent Presidential acceptance speech,
-Biden surrenders the Dem nomination, recommends Harris gets the nomination.
And I’m skipping over a lot of stuff.
With the possible exception of
-Lee’s surrender/end of the Civil War on April 9 and Lincoln getting shot by Booth on April 14 and dying April 15, 1965, or
-Kennedy’s assassination/LBJ taking the oath November 22, Oswald’s arraignment on November 23, Jack Ruby kills Oswald November 24, and the funeral on November 25, 1963,
I can’t think of anything that comes close. And those weren’t “political” in the same sense as the past eight days.

Biden deflecting attention is part of the coverup, Cheadle could resign tomorrow, page 3 news. and it’s all gone, “oh yeah, secret service incompetent.”
They will be a threat to him during his Presidency. My biggest hope is these people will be arrested and dealt with accordingly.
I want to see Joe actually say he’s stepping down on a TV interview. Right now the oligarchs in the Satanic (demonrat) party are pulling the strings & subverting the will of their own people.
It wouldn’t be past the dems to have Kamala become President before the November ballot to evoke the sympathy vote to carry out the their complete control.
I think he’s dead. They are the party of death. When was the last time we saw him?
That is a fair point that requires a fair analysis.
The debate was June 27. That’s 16 days before the Assassination attempt.
To be sure, from June 27 thru July 12 we saw the Debate fallout, gaslighting by the MSM and others about how stunned, stunned I tell you by Biden being so out of it, Biden being interviewed by Georgie Sunffalupagus with modest impact, the SCOTUS immunity decision, and lots of “will he resign or won’t he?”
However, I would argue that the political intensity of those 16 days is dwarfed by what we experienced since July 13.
I don’t deny the importance of the debate is getting things moving.
But in terms of pure political excitement/terror/roller-coaster ride, July 13-21 is a Time for the Ages.

The 1972 DNC was pretty wild. Contested vote, VP candidate who hid getting electroshock treatment, then he got dumped and replaced. Actually we’ve had a lot of wild contested conventions. The parties pur a lot of work into making them part of the past after 72. Which is too bad, those conventions were fun, way better than jerkoff fests we get now.
It is a bittersweet memory. For several days, our area was in an upheaval. Security was crazy tight. We knew it was serious when we got letters in our mailboxes from the government (SS, IIRC), “Do not attempt to move up the hill.”
Even after the debate the dnc was still behind Biden 100 percent..even with all the calls for him to drop out so what changed in the past week, their assassination attempt on Trump failed..that was their Plan B, does ANYONE have any doubt now..look at how they reacted as soon as Trump was almost killed, they went into total panic mode like “Oh shit, damn it he moved his head, we cant try this again Biden needs to drop out now” that is what happened
Whats ironic is that Trump didnt beat Biden in the debate, Biden beat Biden..Trump didnt even have to try. Trump could have just stood there for an hour and not uttered ONE word and Biden would have lost he was THAT bad

I agree, I haven’t done anything except read and see what’s happening. Most of what happened was unexpected. We expected biden to drop out at sometime, when, we weren’t sure. Who expected President Trump to be shot? Who expected the iconic photo? Who expected the RNC convention like that? The rinos kicked to the curb? Who expected politicians to praise God?
Every day it was something else, something big, something was changing.
I cannot dispute that for the last week or so, I have been giddy at the spectacle of the Democrats in crisis.
