Joe Biden is holed up at his Rehoboth Beach home with wife Jill, as his campaign prepares for him to return to the road next week even as yet another Democrat calls on him to exit the presidential race.
No other members of the Biden family are with the president and first lady. Jill was already at their $3.4 million beach home when the president arrived there Wednesday night, the East Wing said.
President Biden has been resting after his COVID diagnosis but he is preparing to get back to work. And while he said he is staying in the race, he is 'soul searching.
'His soul searching is actually happening, I know that for a fact,' a source told Reuters. 'He's thinking about this very seriously.'
The second thoughts come as more and more Democrats urge him to rethink his bid for a second term.
Democratic Rep. Jamie Raskin, who led the investigation into the January 6th insurrection, is the latest to express his doubts about Biden, joining other party leaders who've expressed their doubts about Biden's ability to beat Donald Trump in November.
The White House has repeatedly denied Biden is leaving the race. Officials are moving ahead to plan his next round of meetings and events.
Next week, Biden is expected to meet with Benjamin Netanyahu when the Israeli Prime Minister is in town to address a joint session of Congress.

Even if he does drop out it doesn’t change most state election laws for who gets on the ballot. Ohio is still an issue. This is going to be a messy legal battle. They deserve it.
The dropping out part maybe I buy. But not endorsing KH is just a giant FU to the Womyn of Color. Even in his addled state I can’t see that happening. But it will be worth the price of admission if it does.

Spot on! I want Biden to remain in the race because the Dems are demoralized right now. Any change may gin up hope and excitement. And, like you, I hope the Dems have total chaos at their convention.
I do not believe JOe will drop oout. The BIden family will say “NO!”44THey need to pay Biden abut 300 million dollars, gurantee a Presidential Library , and support pardons and future immunity for Hunter Biden.
From what I see, no one is ponying up the goods that would convince Biden to drop out.

That just may be it, exactly. A little while back there were supposedly demands made by Jill. Then that was it, hush hush. No more. So I wonder if Obama thought he had a deal the news of Joe pulling out grew then the deal fell apart cause Jill didn’t get what she wanted.
Can joe biden circumvent the will of the american people, at least supposedly the democrat primary voting faction, to not be the democrat presidential 2024 candidate?

Yeah, the Jill/Kamala hatefest is a whole other problem for the Dems.
The whole Biden has COVID19 (again!) is not likely.
He is experiencing stress, exhaustion and depression from a whole two days of campaign travel with very brief appearances and botched softball interviews. He is recognizing his failures.
This depression is a component of his increasing cognitive decline combined with his self-aggrandizing, self-absorbed, vain, ego-driven narcissist personality.
Once he learned that he could get away with the egregious drunk driver lie decades ago he found that the media would give him a pass on any falsehood that he continuously told. That realization of the end of ongoing free-pass is hitting hard with the cognitive issues.
Pretending he has COVID is a solid move if he wants to survive.
It gives him reason to avoid public appearances and having reporters screaming at him.
Just Biden bidin’ time.
I’m sure there are ongoing negotiations about how much money the Biden crime family will get once Joe steps down and they can’t make money by selling the influence of the Big Guy. “Dr” Jill and Hunter are high maintenance and need lots of money. Unlike the Clintons where their phony foundation raked in millions in the hopes Hilary would be President. The “donations” to the Clinton Foundation dried up once they had no influence to sell and Bill and Hillary now must rely on speaking engagements to make a living. Biden will immediately be a worthless commodity if he steps down and no one would pay big money to listen to his senile ramblings.
As I see it...if Joe drops out, doesn’t Harris have to succeed him? Nobody in their right mind wants her. If Joe stays in...well we already know how effective he’s been for this country!! See something I missed?
