RIP Bob
Hi Bob! (Takes a sip).
Mel Brooks is three years older. Bob Newhart was born Sept. 5, 1929. He was less than two months old at the time of the stock market crash.
Lou Dobbs passed as well.
“Snuff Walt?” What do you do with snuff Walt. Take a pinch of it and stick it up your nose. And it makes you sneeze.”
Until today, I’d never heard of Professor Proton.
I’m so old!
I had just ordered and received the DVD set of his first series. It was next on our lunch time comedy viewing habit.
Currently finishing up Alf.
I will relish it all the more knowing he’s gone.
RIP, Bob
(And PS: I love Elf!)
I was going to post that one....Classic!
RIP, Bob, thanks for the laughs.
Loved the final episode of the Bob Newhart show... RIP he could do it all
Among the greatest entertainers. May he RIP.
Aww. I loved Bob Newhart!
Sad news. He was a rare talent and will be missed.
The most iconic ending from any sitcom ever...at the very end of Newhart (his second sitcom) Bob wakes up next to his wife from the first sitcom (Suzanne Pleshette) and imagines the second show was a dream where he was an innkeeper in Vermont and met Larry, Daryl and his other brother Darryl.

Thanks for remembering that Clemenza.

Don’t forget Bob Newhart as Arthur Jefferies, also known as Professor Proton.
Amazing how many of those old comedians lived into their 90s.
RIP....very talented man. He will be missed.
I remember Bob and his wife Ginny on a couples game show. Don Rickles and his wife and. Dick Martin and his wife. It was terrific and I can’t remember the name of the show.
RIP Bob you were one of the greats.
