I swear, Freepers are such a bunch of old cranks nowadays. Name the subject, song, person, whatever...and watch the negativity. They dislike everything....The other choices were Rubio and Burgum. This guy is miles ahead of Mike Pence and a damn fine senator.
Would DeWine actually appoint a democRAT??
Knowledge without understanding is not experience.
Are dot indians all that there are to pick from?
Indians are usually far left or very traditional. Meaning conservative. I cant see JD hooking up with a moonbat.
I cannot believe some of the comments and hysteria on this thread regarding the man’s wife, and whether or not she’s a Hindu. So what if she is? If Vance succeeds Trump in ‘28, what’s the fear? That we’ll wake up one day and find out that a bill worked its way through Congress, and we must all convert to Hindus or else? Or will it be done by presidential decree or EO? Or is her mere presence in the White House going to desecrate the place? Would it be sacrilegious? What else is too much to contemplate? Doug Emhoff in the White House, perhaps?
I’ll remind people of two things: 1. there is still, I hope, the notion of separation of church and state, and perhaps if it came to it, the most distraught people on this board can join the left to immediately take action if this were not to be so (because we all know the left will not tolerate it), and 2. if some, “concerned” about this issue, also believe that it was God’s hand (certainly, the Christian “God”, that saved Trump, right?), then a reasonable question is, would He have done so, knowing that, horror of horrors, a Hindu might wind up in the White House! Or, does God choose his battles; or worse yet, God has determined that Vance can never succeed Trump because his wife is a heathen?
By the way, the same sort of comments and hysteria have been on here about Ramaswamy and the fact that he is (or may be, I don’t know, don’t care) a Hindu.
Anti-Christian Attacks Surge as Hindu Nationalism Grows
re: https://www.christianitytoday.com/news/2024/march/india-evangelical-fellowship-anticonversion-laws-bjp-hindu.html
I have issue wih her being Hindu since he has said she’s been a spiritual guide to him. Never forget Adam and Eve and where she led him.
That is so accurate. Great post.
Yale.
What’s wrong with a Hindu FLOTUS, if she’s an American?
(We didn’t all come over on the Mayflower.)
“Waiting to hear from the FR Constitutional Crackpot Brigade that Vance isn’t a “natural born citizen” because his in-laws are from India . . . in three, two, one . . . .”
Shove it up your ass sideways.
The Founding Fathers placed the natural born concept into the Constitution, not Freepers.
Yes lovely family!
“No problem with her being Hindu .”
I suppose people who aren’t educated on the founding of America, and/are OK with disrespecting the Judeo-Christian foundation, would have no problem with someone who worships multiple gods.
Wives have enormous influence over their husbands and husbands’ careers. (Nancy Reagan had a fortune teller very involved in RR’s schedule. And many stories online say that Vance’s wife absolutely does.
As a Christian country, we should be focused on The God - One and Only.
The slippery slope has not worked well for us. Christianity continues to be diluted.
Nothing to do with Mayflower. It’s an issue of THE God vs multiple gods (some say 33 million), and America’s founding.
Looks like his funny comment struck a nerve.
But that usually is the case with racist NBC kooks who don’t know their history. Much less recent events.
You do know this natural born concept you blather on about would eliminate Trump as being qualified, don’t you?
Thank God for the 14th and hundreds of court cases that corrected the Founding Fathers blunder.
Vance came around
The left hates him
He was most demonstrable of the four to be willing to fight for western civ in this death grip with the neurotic woke
You need to learn more about Hinduism.
They do recognize one, overarching God. Their multiple ‘gods’ could be equated with the recognition of many Christians of various Saints.
By your lights, I guess it would be wrong to have a Catholic FLOTUS. (Ooops, we’ve already had one...)
Vance is a convert to Catholicism.
