The assassin who tried to kill POTUS DJT had skills as evidenced by the grouping of shots he fired from 130 yards or more with an AR. Where did he get these skills and who helped prepare him for this?
Well, in the movie he said that was the only location with a clear line of sight to the podium, elevated position and other factors.
Wahlberg’s character was a retired Marine sniper.
Really? 130 yards? With an AR?
There are kids at my local range who can do that all day long.
Basic marksmanship with an AR in the army is 200 yards.
I dont want to say its easy…but its modestly easy.
“..Why would you hunt with a 30-30....”
Because compared to many long action bolt actions it is lighter to carry through brush for quick shots and the lever action allows for quick follow up shots without loosing sight picture.
“From what I recall you can site an AR in at 50 yards and it’s accurate out to 300 because the 5.56 nato shoots flat.”
I think you zero at 36 yards for being zero again at 300. I use 25 yards for 200 yards.
His grouping sucked…he shot a bunch of people who were not his target. LOL
That was their last shot before the convention and the nomination.
Now he can tell them he’s coming and hell’s coming with him..
130 yards with an AR in a supported position isn’t shit. It’s easy. Too easy. Even with iron sights.
You can attend an Appleseed shoot for one weekend and have the skills.
I was going to say if he was “a sniper” he would have been able to follow up the first shot immediately, and on target. His follow up shots were wild. He couldn’t get the site back on target and he was yanking the trigger.
That kind of “gun control” takes practice. That kid’s heart was racing so much that he was not likely to get anything with a second shot because there was too much adrenaline flowing through his system.
He probably learned to shoot on video games.
There’s also photos on Twitter/X. Too disturbing to post here however.
He missed.
Bingo. They missed this time.
The deep state will try again and again until they succeed.

Trump is a tiger. He will be defiant. So there will be more outdoor rallies. And more nearby rooftops.
I suppose Trump has his own private security to complement the Secret Service. Trump needs to quietly beef up his private security folks.
Snipers were looking directly at the shooter. Looks like they were waiting for him/her to take the shot. They didn’t count on him/her missing.

“to carry through brush for quick shots”
That is a perfect reason to use the 30-30. The area I hunt is more wide open with usually long shots.
A 30/30 lever action is a very capable brush gun for deer.
Correct. 130 yards isn’t a hard shot. It appears the scope wasn’t zeroed correctly.
1300 yard shots are difficult. 130 yard shots are like taking candy from a baby. That’s the issue with national political campaigns where every venue is different, from a security standpoint. The open air nature of this event just made things more difficult. I expect future events will be held indoor.
I have questions...
1. How does a guy with a rifle get to a decent sniper position within 130 yards of a Presidential candidate?
2.130 yards is an easy shot at a man-sized target with an AR-15, even with iron sights. Incompetent or just bad luck?
3. He had plenty of time for a second shot, and missed or didn’t take it. Why?
4. Will the CIA now go back to issuing Mannlichers to their dupe assassins?
