The assassin who tried to kill POTUS DJT had skills as evidenced by the grouping of shots he fired from 130 yards or more with an AR. Where did he get these skills and who helped prepare him for this?
As I said, I explained how it works using their numbers...which were not the numbers I remembered.
Shorter zero yields a higher arc, but are you sure that at 200 it would only be 1/4” above 100 and 300, even with the hotter newer milspec ammo?
And your point is? the stress and adrenaline would have no effect on a 20 yr old novice shooter with a few hours of practice?
Do you even hear your words? Does it not bother you that somehow a ladder was left to get up on the roof where leo’s were supposedly patrolling, jn fact one officer even climbed the same ladder, how many wild “coincidences and strange alignments have to happen before you would at least challenge the narrative?
We were talking shooting not tactics of the secret service.
They F’ed up. on purpose or not.
Might or not come out.
Any protection details I know about would have at least a state or local officer on those roofs.
Was things messed up for sure. The why is unknown.
But being reasonable. I don’t jump to conclusions without more facts then the news media puts out.
Give this like most news stories 48 hours and we could have a better understanding.
As of now you are just spewing speculations.
Some people have a hard time with math.
More of them even have a harder time with ballistic math.
“ot is nothing for someone who knows a rifle, not for some crazy rube”
If he knew he was going to use the rifle, he might have actually practiced.
Why 22LR?
* low recoil
* relatively lower noise
* easy to carry a lot of ammo
* very affordable ammo
* relatively very affordable, lightweight weapon & optics
I only posited 22LR to demonstrate that this is not an impossible shot with a pistol/revolver. It would be even easier with a scoped rifle.
I’ve seen it done by brand-new shooters (aka “rank amateurs”), with a pistol, with iron sights (no scope), within 6 rounds of getting the gun in their hands.
How do you know how much practice the shooter had?
Where did you read it was 22LR?
We know so much more now.
That line of site access is beyond incompetence. Given your background you should know snipers train to 1000 yards. Less than 200 is a bit hard to swallow.
After being confronted by a local police that ran away, he just claimed up the ladder.
Someone handed Trump’s head on a platter to this guy and he only grazed the target.
Yep. It was the ‘plausible deniability’ excuse...that some young Anifa goon was just a lone gunman. Of course he was going to end up dead. He had to.
Not only was an amateurish vulnerability left to be taken advantage of, e.g. the closest building that should have been the easiest to monitor, it was also the fact that somebody was ready to exploit it. The odds of that are inexplicable.
They found a patsy to try...but he could never be left to talk about it.
I agree it was huge failure not to have that roof top cover and most likely other spots too.
The reason is the big question.
The SS planning documents should/could explain why it was not covered. The agent in charge has a lot of enplaning to do.
Maybe further up then that,
You need to check your ballistic charts again.
The dead on ref to a 223/5.56 being dead on at a hundred and two and three hundred.
Don’t match mine.
55gr FMJ-BT chrono 32400 +/- 20 fps. 20” 1:9. G7 drag model.
These guys always shoot like professionals and we are told it’s an amateur on a winning streak.
