WASHINGTON (TND) — Comedian Rosie O’Donnell tore into the Supreme Court on Monday following its presidential immunity ruling in a case involving former President Donald Trump.
The high court ruled Monday former presidents retain some immunity from prosecution after leaving office. The decision has significant implications on Trump’s election interference case stemming back to the events of January 6, 2021.
Taking on TikTok, O’Donnell claimed the ruling allows a president to hire a mercenary to kill "anyone."
“Although ‘no one is above the law’ is the foundation of this nation, apparently a president is above the law,” she said. “He could hire anyone to kill anyone and be immune from prosecution.”
“We’re in deep s---, people,” she added.
O’Donnell also invoked the fictional totalitarian society of “The Handmaid’s Tale” and claimed “we’re there.”
He’s a truly sick man,” O’Donnell said of Trump. “Truly, truly sick and there’s no length he won’t go to and he must be stopped.”
She then implied voters must choose “Joe Biden or some other young Democrat,” alluding to the rumor that the 81-year-old may bow out of the race in favor of a younger Democratic candidate.
“We gotta do better,” O’Donnell said. “We’re fighting a dark force here.”

All Presidents, past and future, would enjoy the same immunity, it is not for Donald Trump alone. Only the misuse of the legal system made it necessary for this clarification of protection that heads of state or plenipotentiary ministers have in exercising their judgment on the spot and without reference to other authority until after the fact.
Making up “crimes” from actions taken in the course of official acts of the chief executive or his lieutenants is a grave perversion of the law, and is meant only to hobble and curtail the range of actions a head of state is permitted to exercise, and there might not be a determination of such until long after the fact.

Ha, ha. Love it! Reminds me of a joke I made once about Rosie O'Donnell: There was an article about Rosie and her child. I commented that "I didn't know a man could get that drunk". Someone said the child was adopted (poor kid).
