This is such a buzz kill.
As it turns out, consuming just one alcoholic beverage per day — whether it be a pint of beer, a glass of wine or a shot of your favorite spirit — can shorten your lifespan by approximately two-and-a-half months, one expert asserts
Dr. Tim Stockwell, of the Canadian Institute for Substance Use Research, told Daily Mail that those who drink significantly more alcohol than that — about 35 beverages a week — could slash a staggering two years off their lifespan.
It’s a rude awakening for those who might like to unwind with a glass of pinot after a long day, or who frequent happy hours with friends or colleagues.
“Alcohol is our favorite recreational drug. We use it for pleasure and relaxation, and the last thing we want to hear is that it causes any harm,” he said. “It’s comforting to think that drinking is good for our health, but unfortunately, it’s based on poor science.”
Unfortunately, according to the doc, no amount of alcohol is safe for boozers — and his claims are backed up by science.
Recent research has shown that alcohol consumption could increase the risk of certain health conditions, such as cancer, heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, liver disease and more, per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Sounds worth it.
How ridiculous and who cares?
More likely that alcohol interferes with the deadly, intentional, side effects of the mRNA clot shots.
Seems like a good trade. At least from point of view today.
LOL! Lips that don’t touch liquor won’t touch yours either. What a bunch of sour pusses.
LOL! Just like Keith Richards, he's been dead since the 1980s.
I think you guys are reading the numbers wrong.
If you had never taken a drink you would live 2.5 months longer for each drink you refused.
My math says that I would have lived 4,666 years in addition to the 95 years I have behind me now.
Must be the same “scientists” who worked up the EV and global warming numbers.
I hear that from people who think it’s a sin to drink alcohol. The other thing they say is that it wasn’t wine like is sold today. That may be; possibly it’s like the sweet wine old Italians used to make at home.

That’s ridiculous. It’s not good for you but this claim is absurd.
Alcohol killed my grandfather. He was run over by a Guinness truck.
bullshit. Beer is a gift of God.
So, they just ignore that Christ Himself turned water into wine at the Wedding at Cana.
Hitlery should have died before she was born then...
My beloved grandfather, who was “tee-totaller” was ordered by his doctors to have a drink every night to help with his arteries.
I guess the times have changed as far as medical attitudes are concerned, but since I doubt human physiology hasnt changed much, I would tend to look for other explanations, including one that goes something like this...
Doctors just make stuff up and really don’t look for root causes, not enough time, etc. How could these researchers really do effective controlled, double blind studies over long periods? Color me unconvinced.
Bkmk
Two years are the shitty ones anyway, DRINK UP.
Just One? Whew.., I'm well above that! Cheers, FRiends!

No, they say the water wasn’t fit or abundant, and that it wasn’t as potent as today’s wine.
