The mother of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray who was brutally murdered by two illegal migrants received a 'shock' phone call from former President Donald Trump only minutes before he took the stage to debate President Biden.
Victoria Galvan - who is best friends with Jocelyn's mother Alexis Nungaray - shared how unexpected the call was and how much it meant to the heartbroken mom, whose daughter was strangled and found floating in a bayou only miles from their Houston home on June 16.
'He was like, "I'm actually about to come on for a debate" … He gave his condolences, and he said that he would be reaching back out to her,' Galvan told The New York Post.
'He wanted to … say that he was praying for Alexis and that he's been thinking about her and he wanted to reach out. He said that he was going to reach out in a couple days to her … I mean, she was really … we were all shocked,' Galvan said.
Johan Jose Martinez-Rangel, 22, and Franklin Jose Peña Ramos, 26, both Venezuelan nationals, were arrested and have been charged with capital murder. They are each being held on $10 million bond.
Immigration and the border was one of the hot button issues the candidates sparred over during Thursday' debate.
Trump spoke of the recent killings by unauthorized migrants entering the country illegally as the country faces unprecedented levels, including the horror death of young Jocelyn Nungaray.
Weeks before the preteens murder, Pena Ramos and Rangel Martinez had been released into the country despite being intercepted by border agents.
During the debate, Trump did not say Jocelyn's name but spoke of the recent killing authorities alleged were committed by undocumented immigrants.
The other young women murdered but were not named were...

No kidding....I bet he told her he was going to raise it during the ‘debate’ to plant it in Pinocchio’s face and asked for her blessing to do that ...
No. Read the story. He did not mention her by name in the debate.
Ah you meant the issue. Yup.
But more likely he was just expressing condolences. Note Trump didn’t even mention he made the call. Someone else must have mentioned it to the media, and the likely person is the grieving mother. Doubt Trump’s staff even knew he made the call.
Yes....I meant the issue.
Biden is focused on sister-rapists and inlaw-molesters.
He is an incredible man.
It’s not a surprise that PDJT didn’t mention it to anybody else....there are many things he does that we’d never hear about if not mentioned by the specific party involved.....
Horrible crime
Put them in GP in Harris county
Here's another recent one: "migrant" from Cameroon went on a shooting spree in Atlanta, judge declares her "unfit for trial."
On another thread, a FReeper was talking about President Trump’s “toxic personality”. In all fairness, this FReeper was trying to pay Trump a compliment for having the sense to keep his “toxic personality” under wraps during the debate.
Toxic personality? I just don’t see it. All I see is a kind and generous patriot with unlimited strength, energy and resourcefulness who is willing to sacrifice his golden years - and literally risk everything - in order to battle the stage four corruption now gripping the nation.
Imagine the life he could be living instead, given his vast wealth and his beautiful family. But he is willing to do this. Again.
If we can put drug dealers in prison for murder when their product kills someone they NEVER MET, why can’t we charge Government Officials when their actions kill innocent Americans????
That’s right. When you’re invited to hear the President of the United States speak because of a tragedy in your family, you wear dirty jeans and sneakers and a polo shirt, as a mark of respect for the Office. Just in case you’re invited up onto the stage to actually have your picture taken with him.
The Gaslight Media tags a Repug and all of the Repubs hide under their desks repeating it. I want a toxic personality negotiating with Putin.
Good men don’t brag.
Bad men lie and take credit off other’s good deeds.
Well, that sure says it all. :-(
That will most likely never happen. Why? Because it makes TOO MUCH SENSE.
