NFL star and his family have survived a house fire that was apparently started by a Tesla charger in their garage.
Randall Cobb, 33, escaped from the blaze along with his wife Aiyda and three sons Cade, Caspian and Chance - and even returned to save their pet dog, Louie.
No one from the family was injured but the fire caused extensive damage to the property in Nashville, Tennessee.
“We are lucky to be alive,” said Aiyda Cobb in an Instagram post on Wednesday.
“The Tesla charger caught on fire in the garage late last night and quickly spread. We got out of the house with nothing but the clothes on our back and no shoes on our feet.”

Ping!
For the liberals, the worst thing about this incident is the contribution of the fire to climate change.
Glad they’re okay. Cobb is one of the good guys in the NFL.
NFL Ping!.................
You too can live on edge with the latest in technology!
He has played 13 seasons as a wide receiver.
Pretty amazing to maintain your skills, your health, and your NFL speed for 13 years.
He will be 34 years old in two months.
“However, it said that EV battery fires can burn up to one thousand degrees hotter than a combustion engine fire, creating major challenges for fire departments in tackling such blazes.”
I was hoping Cobb would say in the article that he’s done with EVs forever but I did not see it. Surely he is.
They have to let those fires burn out I think.
Chance as a name?
One of the 1st EV fires I ever read about reported the fire department put 32 THOUSAND gallons of water on the fire and it STILL wouldn’t go out....so they eventually resigned to just controlling the area and letting it burn itself out......what a terrific design feature!
There are cities that now have tanks to completely submerge an EV in.
That way they can leave it there for a few days to make sure the fire is out.
libs love ev, unless it’s tesla.
as for me, i want a ford maverick , maybe in 2 years after my house is paid off.
Bet the local FD has at least one car size fire blanket.
There other thing my local volunteer fire department guys were discussing was when they started making cars with magnesium wheels. When those would catch on fire it was really tough to put the fire out.
Just posted a few hours ago, what timing, from Pennsy...
Is that an EV? If so, why?
Yeah, what are the odds of that?
