It’s been nearly three months since the U.S. government announced an outbreak of the bird flu virus on dairy farms. The World Health Organization considers the virus a public health concern because of its potential to cause a pandemic, yet the U.S. has tested only about 45 people across the country.
“We’re flying blind,” said Jennifer Nuzzo, director of the Pandemic Center at the Brown University School of Public Health. With so few tests run, she said, it’s impossible to know how many farmworkers have been infected, or how serious the disease is. A lack of testing means the country might not notice if the virus begins to spread between people — the gateway to another pandemic.
“We’d like to be doing more testing. There’s no doubt about that,” said Nirav Shah, principal deputy director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The CDC’s bird flu test is the only one the Food and Drug Administration has authorized for use right now.

so... you just want to spend other peoples money or force them to spend their money ?
” if i were..”
but youre not .
So, you think everyone should just let the disease carry on, without even trying to understand it, its spread, and how it may affect the food supply? Just do nothing?
I think that would lead to a lot of people being afraid to buy and eat chicken - or beef, if it goes beyond the dairy herds. We have one of the safest food supplies in the world, and we’re generally very confident of it - so far.
i think you should chip in for what you want to mandate on someone else..
..comrade.

>> director of the Pandemic Center
a solution in search of a problem
The FDA already ‘mandates’ a lot of regulations on our management of livestock and food supply.
That's what the vaxx was for.
Translation. People need to panic!
You seem to have a real bug up your ass about Covid and how it was managed.
This is not Covid. Human transmission of A(H5N1) is very rare and when it has happened historically it hasn’t gone beyond a few people.
But that’s not true with birds.
Cooking the chicken or beef kills off the virus.
ya, well, the last bioweapon reduced my lung capacity to %30%
other than that..
same bs hype...
same election scamdemic..
same fr/glowies promoting fear porn
Pasteurizing cleans it from the milk, too.
But it affects birds in a devastating way, often killing within 48 hours. I don’t think a disease-killed bird is very marketable.
You consider this Avian flu to be a bioweapon?
It’s been around since the 1800s...
Exactly what one would expect from a director of Brown’s Pandnemic center. There’s LOTS of government pandemic money out there for the taking if you can only scare up enough interest and fear.
Your stinking masks don’t work. Your silly 6-feet distances and work isolation/quarantines don’t work and your tests and treatments DO NOT WORK. Go away and find an honest career.
your weasel kung fu is typical.
Well, you said ‘the last bioweapon’.
ya,, so what ?
you saying it wasnt the last ?
you got more gain of function in your pocket ?
Well, your comment suggested that you suspect that this is another one.
I personally believe that Covid escaped from a lab.
But I don’t believe any such thing of the current Avian flu. This is entirely natural, and we’ve had two big outbreaks in the last decade.
my comment suggested nothing other than here you, and the left, are pushing fearporn just in time for an election .
