Former First Lady Melania Trump was snapped running around New York City with an extravagant handbag on her arm Tuesday, while her presidential hopeful hubby campaigns more than 1,200 miles away in Wisconsin.
Melania, wearing a head-to-toe all-white ensemble, was flanked by Secret Service guards as she ducked into Trump Tower.
The former model’s wedding band was on full display as she sported a matching white Hermes Birkin bag — which can fetch as much as $33,000 on the resale market.
The fashionista also appeared to be wearing Christian Louboutin flats, which retail for a comparatively reasonable $700.

Keep in mind it costs $50K to fly their jet from one place to the next.
Many people will become millionaires in their life now. Especially if they started saving for retirement when they were young.
A Billionaire has one thousand times more money than a millionaire. So a $30000 BAG to them is like a $30 bag to us.
Same thing with their car or houses or jet.

I like Melania and I think attacking her for a $33k handbag is moronic.
On the other hand, as far as personal views, even if I had billions I’d think a $33K handbag was just plain silly. I’d give away $33k if I could afford to rather than buy a handbag with it. Just sayin.
But, I don’t get the attacks on Melania for it.
I still don’t see what could possibly make up a purse to cost $33K. How and of what is it made?
Her crime is spending her own money.
She looks great. She’s worth about $40 million on her own businesses so if she wants to drop $33,000 on a handbag God bless her. She likely gets it for free just to be seen carrying or wearing it.
And can you imagine the value now, since she owned it? If "Jill" had it it would be worth much less.

I must have failed to explain myself. The price tag is well in excess of the cost of materials and workmanship, good as they are, to make the bag unaffordable for most of us. This guarantees the rich the ability to sport a look that sets them apart. For some rich people, this is worth it. Melania probably got in the habit in her modeling days (and I doubt she pays full retail). I don’t think the Donald cares much about such things. Tbh, his fashion sense could use an upgrade.
