Food authorities in Denmark have recalled three types of spicy instant noodle products imported from South Korea over possible risks of “acute poisoning.” Consumers are asked to discard them or return the noodles to the retailer.
The noodles are made by Seoul-based Samyang Foods, one of South Korea’s largest companies, and sold across the globe. The recalled noodles include Buldak Samyang 3 x Spicy & Hot Chicken, Buldak Samyang 2 x Spicy & Hot Chicken and Buldak Samyang Hot Chicken Stew.
The Danish Veterinary and Food Administration said the products contain an overly high dose of capsaicin, an active ingredient in chile peppers but also a chemical that can be a neurotoxin and a health hazard.
Children and teenagers in Denmark have been daring each other on social media to eat “a strong bowl of noodle soup,”

That’s ridiculous! They recalled it just because it has too much hot pepper? Send it to me please
"Parents! Are your children engaging in spice abuse?? Do they sweat? Is there a burn ring around their mouths? Do you catch them coming home from Mexican and Indian Grocery store claiming to have been buying candy?? Seek help while you can!"
(Remembered from some humor book on Scandinavian-American culture.)
I have seen This spice Devil “Weeping Chicken” package in the Raman Display case at the local Oriental Grocery.
When I say Display case, it is about 10 by 6 feet with 5 shelves with nothing singles and 5 packs of Raman noodles. They also have a shelf about 15 feet long with the same thing in Cases! (I tend to buy 5 packs of Raman noodles when I buy them.)
Kool-Aid.
I was married to a Swede for more years than I care to remember. Bland is an UNDERSTATEMENT though he managed to be a Grade A Jerk, anyway. ;)
Now I’m with a Norwegian; definitely an upgrade...and I STILL get to keep the Hot Sauce all to myself. :)
Did I ever tell you about the ‘Norwegian Bachelor Brothers’ that were regular customers of mine at Jung’s? They were shopping one day and I was helping them select seeds for their garden and one said, “You look like a hard-workin’ Gal who knows her stuff. We’ve been looking for a WIFE since Ma died...”
OMG! I told them I was FLATTERED (Always Be Closing the sale!), but I was already engaged to another and flashed my ring. They were BOTH deeply saddened, LOL!
(That episode of REAL LIFE still gives me flashbacks to a super-creepy ‘X-Files’ episode! *SHUDDER*!!)

The episode, “Home”? 😱
I would have thought that would have been obvious but... Europe will Europe.
Yep. I knew a FReeper or two would remember that one! :)
Sure! They were looking for a broken in "Hard Working Gal" to take the place of Mom, to garden, cook, get that wintertime paycheck, and do laundry! Yikes!
YIKES!
My first thought, too! ;)
Wimps. They probably think milk is too spicy too.
