Fascism: Left or right?
American Thinker ^ | 11 Jun, 2024 | Jay Davidson

Words have meaning — especially words that mean the opposite of what one thinks. Clear definition has greater meaning.

Fascism allows the business to keep the means of its production, the factories or farms, but takes the output (profit). The Nazis of 1930s Germany were Fascists. “Nazi” is an acronym for the National Socialist German Workers’ Party. Today we call it corporatism. The end result is control.

Communism takes both the means of production and the output. The Communist Party ruled the USSR until its economy failed in the 1980s.

Both assume that the State owns everything. In truth, both imply that the individual has no rights, no individualism, no freedom. The State is all. Their slogan is “Together.” But their meaning is “Give me everything.”

While fascism and communism are social concepts, the State cannot obtain control of everything without intervening in its population’s private and economic lives. Since, in their minds, the State is all, there can be no individual and therefore no right to ownership. The State will regulate everything; tax all; and live, for a short time, off the steadily declining capital of the few remaining individuals.

Socialism is the midpoint between freedom and serfdom. It is the gateway drug to convince the weak and weary that if they give up their greedy, individual ways, and worship a government, that government will take care of them.

Socialism starts the population down the path of believing that their problems are so great (climate change, pandemics, inflation, recession) that they need a greater entity to step in. That greater entity is the State, government, bureaucracy. Show me any economic philosophy that survives communism, fascism, or socialism.

Fascism is essentially the merger of corporation and state. “Private ownership” is retained, but the state, through bureaucracy and regulation, makes most (if not all) of the decisions about how that “private” property is used.

It takes the form of picking winners and losers, forcing taxpayers to support favored companies and projects, and using legislative and regulatory power to convey benefits to the favored while harming the disfavored.

This is also progressivism.

Both assume that the State owns everything.

Like modern liberals, who "generously" "let us keep" some of what we've earned, but only as much as they don't need for their pet projects. They believe we exist to serve them, like tax slaves.

Their slogan is “Together.”

Wasn't that Hillary's slogan, or some version of that?

Their other one is "Forward." (The Nazi slogan.)

That was one of 0bama's slogans.

So who are the real fascists?

Fascism and Communism are two wings of the same socialist bird.

They’re maybe a shade to the right of the Communists, but only a small shade.

Yes. It’s all Collectivism. It’s all Totalitarianism. It’s about the State. It’s about Group rights (race, class, etc) and not at all about Individual rights. It’s about Control and not at all about Freedom.

There is nothing Rightwing here at all.

The NAZIs were Nationalist Socialists who incited racial strife.

The Communists are Internationalist Socialists who incite class strife.

Modern Progressives are Totalitarian Socialists who incite both.

NAZIs, Communists and Progressives are all the demented offspring of the same diabolical mother called Collectivism.

Just like there are different forms of democracy there are different forms of fascism. Different democracies can interact with each other without being globalist.

The different fascist governments were... different, and acted more like an association than a unified ideology. Spain, Italy, and Japan had no intention to take over the World, Spain didn't even fully back Germany.

In the "good old days" being rightwing meant supporting the monarchy in opposition to emerging democratic movements. Monarchies, especially ones with a state church, had a lot in common with fascism.

The Classical Liberalism that much of American Conservatism is based on is a form of liberalism. This is why conservatism is so easily sidelined by RINOs and libertarians who put individualism on a pedestal at the expense of traditional communities.

Fascism might have originated in conversations among failed socialists and Marxists, but it quickly moved right in valuing the motherland at the expense of the individual.

A thoroughgoing traditional conservatism needs to navigate its way between the treacherous rocks of unbridled individualism and absolute statism.

Consider the way Castro arrested and imprisoned his most zealous “freedom fighters” the moment he seized power in Cuba. His reasons were the same as the NAZIs when they turned on Rohm and his Brown-Shirts.

A totalitarian regime will not suffer the existence of any group who has demonstrated the willingness and capability of overthrowing and existing government.

More properly, he was a Marxist and the red in the Nazi flag was to appeal to Communists.

Mussolini had actually been a Communist. He was the editor of the Italian Communist newspaper.

“The primary differentiator between the National Socialists and the State Socialists (ie Commies) is the National Socialists were smart enough to leave the existing business owners/managers in place so long as they did the government’s bidding.”

Bullseye. Hitler stated this in his speeches.

Yes, Hitler needed them to build the war machine. But once they were no longer needed, they would have been done away with.

When I hear the word "fascism," I think of:

1. Socialism, with a powerful central government.
2. Militarism and wars of aggression and expansion.
3. Denial of civil rights to political opponents.
4. Anti-Semitism and anti-Christianity.
5. The use of major corporations to carry out government policies.
6. Disarmament of the public.
6. Attacks on political opponents by pro-government thugs.

Nearly all of this characterizes today's left, and none of it describes the MAGA movement.

I’m sure all the gays killed in the concentration camps would have been relieved to hear that.

The book "The Pink Swastika" offers some insight into this seeming dichotomy.

The Nazis hated weakness and admired strength. Effeminate males were disgusting to them, but Strong powerful men who abused weak males were just fine. They persecuted what they saw as weak pathetic males in camps, but they made the dominating powerful sadistic "bears" into camp guards and such.

The SS was full of homosexuals. Before it became famous, the Nazi party met in a homosexual club in Nurenberg called "Bratwurst Glöckl". Here is a link to prove it.

You have to go about 80% to the bottom of the page.

https://www.tracesofevil.com/2008/01/munich-reich-press-office.html

If you want to see it, better hurry up. Google and the other search engines are putting up a smoke screen about anything linking the Nazis to homosexuality.

The Night of Long Knives (and the new policy) was mainly an excuse to get rid of Ernst Rohm and the other top gays in the SA (Brownshirts) that had been so critical in Hitler’s rise to power, but which were an impediment to acceptance by the professional military and that Hitler viewed as a threat to his power, due to their popularity.

"The Pink Swastika" used to be available to read online, but when I tried to look at it, it didn't seem to work anymore.

I've read through what was available online, and the book makes it clear that they preferred homosexuals to do their dirty work. They wanted the most sadistic, brutal and perverted men they can find. They wanted men who would not hesitate to break any of societies rules, and they found such men in the homosexual community.

They made them commanders and camp guards of the concentration camps, and some of the disgusting things they did to young boys in the camps is the fuel of nightmares.

The book had numerous quotes from various Nazi commanders about their preference for homosexuals. The brownshirts were mostly gangs of homosexuals willing to perpetrate violence on anyone who did not support the Nazi cause.

Modern propaganda tries to distance the Nazis from their Homosexual roots, but the book has exposed just how entwined the Nazis were with homosexuality.

The primary differentiator between the National Socialists and the State Socialists (ie Commies) is the National Socialists were smart enough to leave the existing business owners/managers in place so long as they did the government’s bidding.....ie made what the government wanted them to make. The Communists stupidly killed off the owners/managers and instead dropped in Communist party flunkies who had no idea what they hell they were doing to run the businesses.

I have come to realize that Nazi fascism began with government control, but what I now see as American fascism started with Corporate control.

Laws were made to promote certain regional corporate interests, and the more corporations learned that they could profit from controlling the government, the more intent they were on spreading propaganda to help them gain and maintain control of the government.

The Wealthy Northeastern manufacturers became very wealthy due to Federal laws giving them protection from foreign manufacturers. They naturally steered American government policy to ensure future earnings for themselves and any allies that would help them control the government.

Today we are seeing this exact type of corruption playing out in modern America with corporate control of the News/Propaganda systems, and various types of international corruption such as bribery, influence trading and tailor made laws and policies to help the "connected" people enrich public officials like corrupt Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi.

And this stuff is the real reason for the Civil War.

Hitler was busted In Vienna for male(homosexual) prostitution just before WW1.

I did not know that. I knew he was an "artist", so that sort of makes sense. Artsy-Fartsy types tend to be "gay."

The entire NAZI leadership were bisexuals modeled after Sparta. Masculine homosexuality was essentially a rite of passage for the elites. It was only the effeminate homosexuals who were persecuted by the NAZIs. Lively extensively quotes German writers from the 30s-40s

And this is pretty much what I stated in an earlier message. They persecuted effeminate queers, but very much wanted all the mean, nasty, sadistic queers they could find.

That's why Gentile called fascism "the most viable form of socialism."
