Approaching twenty-four hours since President Trump was found guilty of a accounting ledger sheet error and where are our Republicans around the US? Who has spoken, who has been silent?
Yep, that surprised me too.
INVASION without representation
Why do you refer to these despicable scoundrels as "ours"? Perhaps you are a member of the FR Imaginary Republican Party?
Let's take a look at the actually existing GOP on Planet Earth:
The GOP believes in and will fight for:
1) Open borders
2) A global open market in labor
3) Offshoring productive industries
4) Financialization of the economy
5)) Severing the medium of exchange function of money from the store of value function.
6) Usury as the main engine of consumption.
7) Denying the people their natural, healthy love of their nation
8) Overseas wars on behalf of alien peoples without recompense for our sacrifice.
9) Forced "diversity" with its attendent decline in standards and inevitably accompanying violence.
The GOP has plenty of principles, convictions, and values. YOU must decide if they are yours, or not.
I searched online to see if he'd released a comment regarding the verdict. I found an article about a Town Hall Meeting he'd held in Clay, New York on the 29th. He was asked to comment about the trial. The article reported that "Congressman Williams would not explicitly say how far his support for the former President would go when our team asked if his feelings would change if a guilty verdict came back."
Then they quoted him as saying: “That’s a hypothetical,” he responded. “So let’s deal with the facts as they come since there’s no reason to speculate.”
What a gutless wonder. By the way, a large number of people who attended that meeting said that even if Trump was found guilty, they were still going to vote for him.
After searching for any public statement he'd made since the verdict came down, I could find nothing, so I called his Washington office this afternoon, and spoke to a young man. I've called that office many times before to give my two cents.
I opened the conversation mentioning the Clay Town Meeting this past week, and cited the Congressman's non-comment about the trial. I then asked the kid if the Congressman had made a new public comment, now that the verdict had come down. He said he had commented on his personal Twitter account, not on his Congressional Twitter account, which I found rather strange.
I told the kid I've never had a Twitter account, and belong to no social media sites. I went on to say that there were a lot of people like me who didn't do social media, and I thought it was pretty arrogant of the Congressman to think that everyone of his constituents subscribes to Twitter, and would see his comment. I asked him if he could please read his comment and he did.
After I hung up, I did a search trying to find Brandon Williams' personal Twitter account, and couldn't locate it, but found a brief news article online with the comments of RAT and Repuke political leaders of the State and local area. His was among them. This is what the pussy finally said. I hope he didn't hurt himself typing it:
"Two-tiered justice system. Far-left extremists have their hands on the scales of justice -- what a disgrace."
Yeah, what a disgrace you are Congressman.
“I think this is an absolute travesty of justice," Cruz said. "This is not about law. This is not about criminal justice. This is about politics. This is about trying to destroy Donald Trump. That was the whole point of this, is to run millions of dollars of campaign ads, calling Joe Biden's principal opponent Donald Trump a convicted felon. This is politics. This is an abuse of the rule of law."
Nonsense.
They are all true believers in the new world order. They work for free.
Excellent statement that I’d missed. Thanks for posting it.
I believe that both chambers of Congress are not currently in session. They went home of Memorial Day Holiday, and will not be returning until June 3rd. (Next Monday)
Mitt Romney is writing a scathing editorial for the Washington Post.
I wrote a Biden campaign song about how he stuck a fudgsicle up his donkey, but the song got pulled.
I’m composing another one about Biden snoozing at the West Point Graduation.
I call it Pomp And Circumstance And Joe Filled Up His Pants.
Don’t kid yourself. They’re not under any kind of pressure, they’re acting out of their own free will. You really think Romney or any of the “Republicans” are doing giant fewer high-fives than Rachael Maddow?
Of all people, Mike Pence made a statement. So did Gov. DeSantis and Rep. Jordan.
Using the pronoun “our” is perfectly appropriate when referring to a defined position. In political terms it’s meant to denote “right of center” and “left of center”.
For example:
Our side (right of center): people who are pro Trump.
Their side (left of center): people who are anti Trump.
Great statement from Sen. Cruz.
Didn't Bragg change the classification of the charges on Trump from misdemeanors to felonies? If so, there was only one reason for doing that.
Ask Golden Beagle. She has the inside scoop.
in California:
chairwoman of the California Republican Party, Jessica Millan Patterson: “...a dark day for our justice system...a politically motivated case brought by a far-left district attorney...”
Harmeet Kaur Dhillon, former vice chairwoman of the California Republican Party: “a disgrace...If they can do this to the leading presidential candidate, they can do it to any of us,”
Shane Patrick Connolly, chair of the Santa Clara County Republican Party: “a travesty of justice and the stuff of tin-pot dictatorships.”
Randall Avila, the executive director of the Republican Party of Orange County: “... marred by political bias since day one....This is election interference plain and simple,”
Rep. Darrell Issa tweeted, “trial and verdict are a disgrace.”
Assemblymember Bill Essayli/GOP Convention delegate: “...a political attack..”
Former state Assemblymember and candidate for 47th district Scott Baugh: “... “political prosecution... politically motivated prosecutor and a hostile judge set the trial up ”
Venture capitalists in the Silicon Valley noted 6 figure donations already made and fortold more is to come
Outside California:
***Conservatives are now demanding full disclosure details of the $17 Million in ‘hush money’ payments made by Congress in 2017
Kentucky Republican Representative Thomas Massie
Georgia Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene
Tennessee Republican Representative Tim Burchett
***Jim Jordan today issued supoenas compelling Bragg to appear before committee
Yes, they should be forced to disclose since those! And how much spend since that number was released?
The GOP circle jerk will continue, unabated...
Since the 1990s, these feckless fools have kowtowed & bent-the-knee to the communist onslaught...
Now that the communists have openly demonstrated their power over the American serfs, the GOPers will be hunkered down so as not to be next on the chop-block...
Stalin rules, still...
Just ask the J6 prisoners what they think...
