Harrison Butker compares himself to a SAINT as he doubles down on 'misogynistic' commencement speech in which the Kansas City Chiefs star told female graduates to focus on being 'homemakers'

Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker has compared himself to a saint as he doubles down on a 'misogynistic' speech he made saying women are happier as 'homemakers'.

The 28-year-old delivered a 20-minute speech last Saturday at the Catholic private liberal arts college in Kansas.

In it, he said men should 'fight against the cultural emasculation' and encouraged women to be 'homemakers' instead of working.

On Friday night, he doubled down on his remarks, comparing himself to Saint Daniel during another speech at a Regina Caeli Academy event in Nashville, Tennessee.

He told the event: 'Over the past few days my beliefs, or what people think I believe, have been the focus of countless discussions around the globe.'

He continued: 'At the outset, many people expressed a shocking level of hate. But as the days went on even those who disagreed with my view points shared their support for my freedom of religion.

'As to be expected, the more I've talked about what I value most, which is my Catholic faith, the more polarizing I have become.'

The kicker went on to say his decision was one that he did 'not regret at all', and said it wasn't people but Jesus Christ he was trying to please.

He continued: 'I can't help but tremble at the thought of the courage many saints have shown in their lives. Would I be so bold if the repercussion was what Daniel faced in being fed to lions.

'In reality any courage I have shown will lead to some small suffering, and it will lead to some people never liking me.

'If I constantly remind myself of the hardships the saints went through, especially the martyrs and their persecution, it makes it all seem not so bad.

What a bulls—t headline.

I would urge everyone to view for themselves Butker’s latest statement and decide whether the Daily Mail is being fair here.

If he has saving faith in Christ alone, he is a saint.

And how is encouraging women to value themselves and their unique role as women misogynistic? It is those who disparage this and insist that they play the same role as men who are the true misogynists.

He’s saying what needs to be said — the western world is dying off in part because so many women are pursuing careers and pampering themselves rather than raising functional families.

But he needs to add that our hedonistic, sexually out-of-control men are equally at fault. Not hard to understand
why rational women wouldn’t want to marry losers like that.

“All true believers are saints. It refers to position, because of Christ, not behavior.”

Exactly. All born-again Christians are saints. I’m a saint. If this guy is a Christian, then he’s a saint.

A guy in a funny hat shaking some chicken bones over a person doesn’t make him a saint.

There is nothing wrong with drawing inspiration and courage from the trials of the saints.

Charlie Kirk has a video where he talking to college kids mostly male. He was talking about the strength it takes for boys to remain virgins until marriage. He explained the importance of virginity for both males and females. They asked questions. They were respectful and many agreed.

*They really want this guy taken out.

My friends the best point about this posting is the followup factor. He’s not hit and run like the left where the left has the MSM do their followup for them.

Timing was good too. The speech was 2 weeks ago. Enough time for the hard left to react in their knee-jerk way. Then there was the right getting in their kicks-lol. Finally the NFL huddled(lol) and gave their response-cowardly I must say.

2 weeks for the left to stew in their juices and I love it.
What this means is that this will not end soon as he’s not backing down. We can all appreciate the fella.

What feminists hate most is he’s handsome, successful, and rich. All women would be so lucky to have him.

Why is it the NFL isn’t supporting him with just a “he has every right to say what he wants” like they did Kaepernick? And they can leave off the part “I don’t agree with his comments” part . . .

My brother once said the best thing a man can do for his wife is to make all her friends jealous of her-they’re like that. You do that by making her happy. Do that while all her friends are out there trashing their husbands and boyfriends. For that reason married couples tend to congregate without too many singles.

It’s no wonder men fool around.

Correct. You win a prize for being able to read and think. I like the Daily Mail, but you would be WAY overqualified to be one of their reporters!

Although, if you are Australian and look good in a bikini, they might hire you in spite of your brain....

The Daily Mail was regarded as a rightish outlet for a while.

Based on the recent decline in reporting quality (they botched completely the cause of a stock price crash in Cracker Barrel) I’d say they’ve gone Drudge.

I have been reading the Daily Mail for a long time. They go for clicks and eyeballs, anything to get you to read the article. So they make fun of Trump and Biden. The Markles are always good for readership. Lots of comments on celebrities wearing outfits that are either "stunning", "shocking" or "Dowdy" to get women to read, etc. Think a UK version of the New York Post mixed with some Enguirer.
