Your Memorial Day barbecue will cost upward of 10 percent more than it did this time last year according to Datasembly.

Datasembly follows the cost of groceries across the country every week. Its recently released data points to this year's Memorial Day festivities costing the average American family about $30.18 or 10.19% more than 2023.

Here is a breakdown of Memorial Day cookout costs, according to Datasembly:

Burgers jumped from $7.04 in 2023 to $8.07 in 2024, or a change of 14.63% in cost. Hamburger buns cost two cents more, from $3.04 on average to $3.06.

Ketchup costs 10 cents more from 2023 prices, increasing from $5.43 to $5.53, and mustard increased from $2.53 to $2.61.

Most surprisingly, pickle relish is nearly 50% more expensive than in 2023, with a cost change from $3.14 to $4.67.

On average, a regular grocery trip costs an American family over 20% more than at the beginning of 2021.

The April 2024 U.S. inflation rate is at 3.4% after measuring at 3.5% in March.

I just signed up and will give it a try. Some of the web reviews are pretty good. There are quite a few gas stations in my area with good savings. There are a lot of restaurants, but none that I frequent.

I’m the same way but mostly because We don’t eat out or do pickup/delivery that much.

Check it out and see if it works for You, let Me know what You think.

I could have really used it back in the day when I was driving a ‘77 Suburban, 454, Rochester 4 BBL, Dual A/C and twin fuel tanks. IIRC the tanks were 32 gallon main and 16 gallon auxiliary and it’s a damned good thing that Aircraft Carrier got 7 mpg cruising in town or highway and 4 mpg towing uphill/downhill, headwind, tailwind, crosswind, A/C on or off, it made no difference to it.

There were times when I should have just taken off the air cleaner cover and held the pump nozzle right into the intake manifold.

That’s what happens when a country crosses this line:

US federal budget crosses grim milestone as interest payments overtake defense spending
https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/4239278/posts

Next year could be 500% or 5000...
(as we let [them] steal elections and loot the Nation.)

It’s not like we haven’t seen how this plays out in other countries.

It seems our CIA leadership, in cooperation with the rest of the world’s
“intelligence agencies” has practiced enough to finally try to do it to the USA,
for good.

“You should try this out: https://upside.app.link/XB5K2

Been using this for a few weeks. In my neck of the So Cal woods it is mostly Gas Stations, one small independent Hispanic Grocer and a few Restaurants. The Restaurants are locked in at 6% off. The Gas stations and Grocery store fluctuate all over the place daily. Costco and Sam’s gas is still better priced than the best Upside gas station participants after discount but it gets pretty close and you don’t have to wait 20 minutes in line. So that’s win in my book.

After using the app I got a $20 referral link to send to friends and family. Easy peasey, I set up the wife’s phone with an account and then went and filled up her car with gas. $20 credited to my account a day later.

You forgot to add in the
cost of your rifle, ammo @
a full box, your camping
gear, gasoline, license fees,
food, camo and orange
clothing, hunting boots, a
good sharp knife for
skinning, (assuming you
processed the deer yourself)
(If not, add in the butchers
fee), plus anything else
that makes the hunt more
convienient or comfortable,
your deer lease, feed corn,
corn spreaders...etc. The
list goes on and on.
Hunting of any sort is much
more expensive than buying
processed meat from the
store.
Saving money on the grocery
bill is not why we hunt. And
most spend a fortune in
anticipation of next years
hunting trip.

No camping gear, gasoline, camo or hunting boots unless you count my camo flannel pajamas and camo moccasins I was in when I shot thie last one off the deck of my house. Did have to change to get it, gut it and bring it back. Got a lifetime hunting and fishing license. Over many years, hunting is far cheaper especially when a decent steak is $10.00 or more a pound. Couple deer at that price pays for the gun. A 20 round box of ammo should get you 20 deer unless you suck as a shooter.

During deer season or turkey season the gun(s) stays on the kitchen table. I shoot turkeys from the deck as well.

Process myself with help from the wife. I hunt to save buying meat at the grocery store. A deer or two saves a lot.
My home and deck is my deer stand so it’s very comfortable.

Glad you’re in position
where obtaining game is
a discounted endevour.
Most all hunters don’t have
that luxury. Those that
don’t, pay a higher price
for their protien.
