A DEI-fixated dean at UCLA's world-famous medical school has allowed standards to plummet by discriminating against white and Asian applicants, it is claimed.
The David Geffen School of Medicine in Los Angeles boasts Nobel Prize winners on its faculty and accepts just 173 students out of the 14,000 who apply to it each year.
But it has plunged from sixth to 18th place in the rankings since the appointment of Jennifer Lucerno as dean of admissions in June 2020 amid claims that the admissions bar for underrepresented minorities is now 'as low as you could possibly imagine'.
'All the normal criteria for getting into medical school only apply to people of certain races,' an admissions officer told the Washington Free Beacon.
'For other people, those criteria are completely disregarded.' Among the disturbing anecdotes shared are of a student lashing out in an operating room and accusing a surgeon of picking on her after being asked to locate a major artery - a basic medical request.

I am somewhat surprised that the David Geffen School of Medicine has allowed this toxic nonsense to take root in its school curriculum. Is this named after the same David Geffen who worked hard to become a highly successful recording agent in the mid 60s? He developed and supported some big talents, such as Joni Mitchell.
She wrote the song “Free Man In Paris” about him, a deal making powerhouse back them.
Has he forgotten the benefits of a meritocracy?
Keep your older doctors and/or find alternative treatments.
Get health conditions under control with diet, exercise, life style changes, and good sleep. That can eliminate a large portion of self-inflicted health conditions.
Some things cannot be helped. At that point, trust God to protect you from the medical community is you need surgery, for example.

Valid point....insurance companies will figure this out, and raise rates....so you walk in for a simple 8-minute procedure and find that it’s $4,000, with a quarter of that involving insurance coverage for the doctor himself, or the clinic.

You are, sadly, correct. One can not trust the medical community. And most doctors now work for big hospital groups or their practices are owned by large corporations which in turn are likely owned by this gs like Blackrock. Do your homework before choosing a doctor.
Due your due diligence when checking up on your doctors. I’m beginning to think that those medical degrees from the Caribbean island nations are looking better and better…. /s
