Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) is issuing an apology for a comparison he made regarding the House of Representatives.
On Thursday night, Americans were aghast after watching a drama filled hearing of the House Oversight Committee which featured several minutes of members lobbing personal insults at each other.
In a post on X, Fetterman shared a CNN article about the moment and wrote, “In the past, I’ve described the U.S. House as The Jerry Springer Show.”
“Today, I’m apologizing to The Jerry Springer Show,” he added.
During the hearing on Thursday, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) asked Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) if she knew what the hearing was about.
“I don’t think you know what you’re here for,” the Georgia congresswoman responded. “I think your fake eyelashes are messing up…”
The hearing then exploded with members talking over each other as ranking member Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) chimed in, “That’s beneath either of you.”
The exchange led to a several minute battle over whether Greene would strike her words from the record.
Later, Crockett addressed the House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) and asked, “I’m just curious, just to better understand your ruling, if someone on this committee then starts talking about somebody’s bleach blonde, bad built, butch body, that would not be engaging in personalities, correct?”
Comer asked, “A what now?… I have no idea what you just said.”
In case you missed it:
Greene later reacted to the backlash by taking aim at Democrats and Congress, writing on X, “Pardon me if I don’t talk as nicely as some people would like to hear. I’m not going to keep you all addicted to outrage and hopium that never solves a problem or stops the inevitable implosion of the United States of America.”
Ocasio-Cortez, who also engaged in the drama, fired back at Fetterman, writing, “I understand you likely would not have stood up for your colleague and seem to be confused about racism and misogyny being a “both sides” issue. But I stand up to bullies, instead of becoming one.”
“And to the women of Pennsylvania: I’d stand up for you too. Enjoy your Friday,” she added.
AOC never seemed to grow up from bartender.
I think her other job was a pole dancer…
From the title I thought this was from the Babylon Bee…
The 19th Amendment was a horrible mistake.

Too bad MTG isn’t a quick thinking smart alec. As soon as Rep Crocket told her, “I think your fake eyelashes are messing up…”, MTG should have responded with, “Are you a trained beauty consultant? Justice Kentanji says were not qualified to know men or women unless we’re biologists.”
Toss her a dollar bill and she’ll shut up.................
Please ... she’s accustomed to having the dollar bill tucked into her g-string.
Are all black women in positions of power and authority in Georgia such vile low class ignorant scum, or is it only 95% of them?
I think it was MTG who mentioned Crockett’s eyelashes, not the other way around.
Did the stroke do something to Fetterman for the good. He has actually been acting somewhat rationally recently.
He’s not wrong.
I ain’t touchin’ dat!.........................
Fetterman hasn’t just swung around...he’s got a good sense of humor.
Ha. Raskin is beneath dog poo on the sidewalk.
It’s like James Traficant was infused into his body in a secret laboratory somewhere.
His wife thinks about your comment:
“Yeah, I noticed his ‘rational thinking ‘ fad too. And THAT is becoming somewhat.. problematic!”
Just imagine an AOC lap dance ...
Her skinny butt?......................
