“Shield Arms”
WTF is that?
Never heard of it.
My advice to the guy: If there is to be a second date, take her to a handgun/firearms safety course. Then maybe take her to a gun shop or gun show and get her a proper holster or purse holster.
Otherwise, steer clear as what happened, should never have happened. P.S. You might also suggest she take her handgun to a gunsmith and have it examine it from a safety standpoint.
No to second date, but he needs to send flowers because she gave him a great break the ice story!!
I don’t think I’d have spent 15 minutes looking for a mag spring and some 9mm
ammo, but other than that - no problem.
Hell, if her date was a red blooded man, it should have been a huge turn on! I would have immediately asked her for a day at the range followed by drinks and dinner!😎
PS. Would have also showed her the gun I was carrying!😎😎

Marry her and give her a better firearm as a wedding present, then bang her at Gunsight training facility on the honeymoon.
How does your gun just fall out of your purse? Does it unzip on the side or bottom and she left it open? Was she digging around and somehow didn’t notice she’s pushing her pistol up over the side?
The only way I see this actually happening is if she dropped it on purpose, just so she could write an article about her date freaking out she had it.
LEO story:
Cop getting out of his cruiser to chase a suspect banged the butt of the Glock against the car and the impact broke the magazine’s baseplate sending the spring and cartridges flying. He was of course carrying 2 spare mags. His emergency reload on the run was no problem. Suspect was apprehended with no injuries.
Second date?
Unlikely ... too irresponsible.
