McLean [VA] Police District – Detectives from our Tysons Urban Team (TUT) arrested a retail theft crew who stole merchandise, mostly underwear, from stores in nearby jurisdictions.
Wednesday around 3:30 p.m., TUT detectives were alerted to a retail theft crew in the 1900 block of Chain Bridge Road in Tysons. The crew was involved in larcenies that occurred in nearby jurisdictions earlier in the day. Detectives located the crew and took three suspects into custody.
A search of the suspect’s vehicle revealed over $24,000 worth of merchandise, mostly underwear from Victoria’s Secret. The merchandise was connected to recent thefts that occurred in Prince William County. Detectives believe the crew has been involved with other organized thefts in the region with the intent to sell the property out of state.

3 extra-ugly illegals in cahoots?
Underwear, Underworld, Undercover!
Sounds like a movie. Maybe a cartoon detective or comedian actor. Something between MONK and Dr. Evil in Austin Powers.
Just an old-fashioned panty raid.
TYSONS, Va. — In Tysons Corner, a special unit within the Fairfax County Police Department patrols daily.
“Our officers are out in cars, on bicycles and on foot, stopping shoplifting,” said 2nd Lt. William Arnest.
Arnest supervises the Tysons Urban Team. It’s a unit that launched in 2013. Data shared with WUSA9 shows the unit made 787 arrests in 2022. That’s compared to 377 in 2021 and 406 in 2020. They say the those number were likely smaller because of the pandemic.
