Yesterday, anti-gun New York legislators introduced a bill designed to COMPLETELY ban the sale of Glock handguns and other semi-automatic pistols.
Their bill, S. 9225, comes under the guise that Glocks, and other semi-automatic “convertible pistols,” can be easily turned into machine-guns through the installation or attachment of a “pistol converter,” more commonly known as a “Glock switch.”
New York state lawmakers are intentionally targeting a major firearms manufacturer and banning the sale of their product because criminals, who don’t obey the law in the first place, could illegally acquire handguns and then illegally alter them further.
Under federal law, machine guns are already heavily regulated items, so what might be the real intention of this law?
It’s obvious: to initiate the framework for a complete ban, and total confiscation of semi-automatic handguns – all made possible through New York’s handgun registry.

If NY and other states keep it up, the SCOTUS might invalidate all gun laws by declaring them unconstitutional. I would love to see officials prosecuted for violating constitutional rights.
AND BIDEN’S “NEWCOMERS” can easily be turned into criminals.
All of this legal-eeze and gun stuff might be confusing to some people. So I'll see if I can simplify it:
If cops are pure eeevvvillll, and also nobody should be allowed to carry guns except cops...you might be a Democrat.
Meanwhile here in NYC people have been getting permits like mad. Many of those are new Glocks. Will be interesting to see how those people react.
New York and most of its people have always been Left of Center...for many, many years...this just didn’t happen overnight.

I think the real funny part is that such a conversion would render the gun far less dangerous.
There is a reason that the military and law enforcement don't convert their handguns to fully automatic. It's because it's a really stupid idea that only a pimp halfwit would do.
If the first shot misses the target the rest will to. The level of training required to effectively use such a weapon would be staggering.
How long before the anti-gun nuts come out and say any semi-automatic firearm is an assault weapon?
The Glock Switches already are illegal (& non-transferable) under the 1986 Hughes Amendment. Possessing one is a felony.

So true. If the gang bangers had more training they would kill each other faster and fewer innocent bystanders would be injured. Kind of a win win.
