New so-called "FLiRT" COVID-19 variants have quickly become the most dominant in the United States, and authorities are monitoring their rise as summer approaches.
According to the latest data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), one of the two members of the “FLiRT” group, KP.2, is now No. 1 among strains nationally, accounting for about 24.9 of all current infections.
The JN.1 strain had been dominant in the US before the emergence of KP.2. Both variants are offshoots of the highly contagious Omicron strain.
The No. 4 variant in the US, KP.1.1, which makes up 7.5 percent of cases nationwide, is also in the "FLiRT" family and closely related to KP.2.

Every Friday (when the dats is updated) I go in and check this variant tracking info. New variants are constantly emerging, become dominant and then get replaced by other subsequently emerging variants. This cycle will likely go on like this continuously.

All of these... “variants” are Coronaviruses. All of them. WE now know completely how to prevent infection without so called vaccines predicated on S-Proteins of 3 years ago.
The prevention is known and well circulated, freely available. So— whoopee here comes yet another variant, each one less lethal than the last- which is the known evolution of all coronaviruses ever known to be all the way back to the so called Spanish influenza.
Environmental reality for any variant is that it needs the hosts to LIVE so the bug can spread. That is the way of all of these.

Ideally, if there were ever to be true reckoning over the development (by the U.S military/security state, that is) of SARS-COV-2 and the governmental response to the resulting pandemic, such a reckoning would come for the disinformation merchants as well. But I'm not holding my breath.
