Sorry but it has to be said. His endorsements suck once again. He's terrible at them.
He's supporting Mike Rogers the Bush-era Neocon in MI who is basically responsible for FISA and its very use against him when he was president.
He's supportive of Mike Johnson the RINO/Democrat Speaker and was said to have intervened last week to get that foreign aid package passed!
NOT HELPFUL DON ...
Why is he cosying up to these people?
Just because you don’t like his endorsement doesn’t make him suck. You don’t see eye to eye on everything, and that’s ok
The important is immigration, economy, borders, foreign policy
You can’t have it all
Speaking of back stabbers, isn't that exactly what Amash did to Trump?
I understand that
But having him on stage and giving him a full throttled endorsement to Rogers was quite surprising to me
“Maddening. That guy is a swamp creature and has been for decades.”
And why do you want the dens to control the senate?
I heard Glenn Youngkin the other month a certified RINO saying it’s time for us to come together.
So I guess President Trump is joining the bandwagon.
I continue to watch events unfold it seems the Middle East is shoved into our face domestically to deflect from Ukraine which could provoke a harsh Russian response at some point.
Ukraine is the most important issue for me I will not vote for certain Republicans this November because of that including US Senate candidate Dave McCormick here in Pennsylvania.
“Sorry but it has to be said. His endorsements suck once again. He’s terrible at them.
He’s supporting Mike Rogers”
What is your problem? Forgot your meds?
It’s a close election. We need to pick up senate seats!
we all learn and grow with experience. Trump did not know Washington its ways and characters in 2016, but he does now. The same is true of those whom you mention - we all are different from a few years ago. one way or another.. Today’s Trump is much wiser and I trust him to make the right decisions.
>So I guess President Trump is joining the bandwagon.
It’s not nice to watch put it that way.
“I’m guessing Trump wants to beat Democrats, in contrast to many on FR who are only concerned with beating up Republicans.”
bump
I agree with your premise that most of his endorsements "suck" (plenty of his cabinet appointments in his first term were awful, and let's not forget about all the failed "electable" choices he championed during the midterms, like "Dr. Oz" for U.S. Senate). Worse, the AlwaysTrumpers on here will never admit Trump's choices sucked and they shouldn't have blindly cheered on anything and everything he did.
That being said, your current examples are grasping at straws.
>> He's supporting Mike Rogers the Bush-era Neocon in MI <<
And you Rogers bashers conveniently ignore that the fact that Rogers opponent in the primary, Justin Amash, is to Rogers LEFT and routinely voted with "the squad" while in Congress. It's pretty hypocritical for Rand Paul to whine about Rogers having a track record of being "anti-Trump" and ignore the fact that Amash was FAR WORSE when it came to being "anti-Trump", don't you think? What do you expect Trump to do, endorse the pro-Palestinian lunatic who voted with the Democrats to impeach him? On what planet does that make sense? Trump has to deal with the cards he's dealt, and given the FACT that Amash is a Hamas loving traitor, that makes Rogers the lesser of two evils in the primary, so Trump picked the "least bad" option. Shockingly, Bill Clinton didn't endorse any of the members of his own party who voted to impeach him, either. Gosh, Clinton's endorsements must have "sucked", he should have opted for the Democrat who tried to remove him from office, right?
>> He's supportive of Mike Johnson the RINO/Democrat Speaker and was said to have intervened last week to get that foreign aid package passed! <<
And what alternative to Mike Rogers is running for Speaker right now and has the votes to get elected tomorrow if you get Johnson's head on a platter like you want? Be sure to let me know who that person is, and I'll have Trump promptly endorse that person for Speaker. Again, Trump has to deal with the cards he was dealt. You apparently learned nothing from the last disastrous Speakership election, where Matt Gaetz ousted McCarthy without having a clue who would replace him. The GOP has a razor thin majority in the House right now. The RATS will rightfully ridicule the GOP and mock the fact we "can't govern" if we have a THIRD period with endless ballots being cast for "Speaker" and no leadership in place in the House, which would blow up in our faces. Everyone knows that, except you guys attempting a kamikaze move in the House of Representatives, apparently.
The phrase, “keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer,” is a wise saying that advises being cautious and vigilant in your relationships. It suggests that while it’s essential to maintain close relationships with those you trust and care about, it’s equally important to keep a watchful eye on those who may pose a threat or have ulterior motives.
In essence, the phrase is a warning for us to be aware of the potential dangers that can arise from our relationships, whether personal or professional. It’s a reminder to be discerning and not take people at face value, but instead to observe their actions and intentions closely.
This phrase has its roots in ancient Chinese military strategy, attributed to Sun Tzu, who wrote in “The Art of War”: “Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.” The idea is that by keeping a close eye on your enemies, you can better anticipate and prepare for potential threats, while also maintaining a sense of security and control.
In modern times, this phrase has been applied to various aspects of life, from business and politics to personal relationships. It’s a reminder to stay vigilant and not take anything for granted, while also being open to building strong and meaningful connections with others.
Now grasshopper, you can smile knowing that you now know more than you did a few minutes ago. 🙂👍
Trump is an outsider that is financially independent.
He’s the 1:1000 candidate.
The pool of people he has to choose from come from the swamp.
For him, it’s simply about choosing the lesser bad and hoping that by supporting some of these creeps there is some loyalty.
“There isn’t much difference to how things will be run.
IF Dems take the House and Don takes the presidency”
Now I know you are pulling for Democrat wins. Very Sad
Trump needs to get >51%.
A fair number of GOPeers are needed to drag him over the finish line.
It’s a tough job to select the needed GOPeers.
I love DJT. However, he sucks at hiring people. He has too much trust.
“He’s picking from the Swamp
Look at Rogers. “
He is picking R over D for a senate seat. Why do you support the democrats?
This looks like 1941 my friend in 1941 I could understand prodding Japan with sanctions and sending the US Navy to escort British convoys halfway into the Atlantic to poke Hitler around.
But Lord the economic measures against China and Russia the Ukraine war funding pipeline to break Russia overthrow Putin in the age of nuclear weapons.
Neither one of them like Japan or Nazi Germany in 1941.
Its insanity and I feel like I need to wash my hands of it all.
The death of this nation will be the complacent rank and file voter who keeps voting for the Romney’s and Johnson’s of the GOP.
Trump has no choice but to work with the candidates available.
Thank you for that perspective.
RE: Rogers. Endorsing him is one thing but putting him on stage and such is ridiculous.
He’s in a primary and yes, I prefer Amash a million times more
“But having him on stage and giving him a full throttled endorsement to Rogers was quite surprising to me”
And you want the Democrat to win?
