Human intelligence scores are dropping across the US for the first time, research suggests, and experts warn technology could be to blame.
Since 1905, there's been a 30-point increase based on scores in logic, vocabulary, spatial reasoning and visual and mathematical problem-solving skills.
But there are signs that IQ may have dipped, according to a study last year. It found the average IQ score in the US fell from 100 to 98 last year - the first time rates have fallen since we began tracking them.
Now, separate data shows there is a gap of about eight points between states, with New Hampshire ranking first with an average IQ of 103.2.
Exactly half of US states have an average IQ of 100 or above, with New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Vermont coming in the top four while North Dakota and Wyoming tied for the fifth spot.
Meanwhile, those ranked in the bottom five include New Mexico, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Nevada, according to World Population Review.
More research needs to be conducted to determine why IQ scores are falling across the country, but one expert speculated that a drop in reading and an increase in media entertainment, like YouTube, is at fault.
There are also concerns that phones degrade our memory and recall because there is less need to store information with Google at our finger tips.
'I do suspect that increased technology use could be playing a role in impacting our nation's overall literacy levels,' Dr. Stefan Dombrowski, a psychology professor at Rider University, told DailyMail.com.
'It is well known that people who read and write more, generally score higher on IQ tests - of course, this is a chicken/egg scenario,' he continued.

Newsmax was interviewing a few white chicks in keffiyehs supporting the terrorists at Columbia University a couple of weeks ago. The girls were asked the simple question about what is was they were supporting for Palestine.
The girls were completely stumped by that and openly admitted that they didn’t know any of the specifics. One of them even giggled, “It’s just the right thing to deewwww.”
They appeared to have no shame or embarrassment about their cluelessness.
That interview spoke volumes about young white liberals.
When my daughter was in grade school, she and a black kid named Michael were always at the top of their class and thus became good friends.
When they got to junior high school, Michael's grades went to hell in a handbasket, so my daughter asked him about it. He said he wouldn't be accepted in the black community if he made good grades because good grades made him "too white" for acceptance.
I don't know what happened to Michael.

Obviously this is impossible from a practical standpoint, but as a thought exercise:
1) Divide the costs of crime, policing, courts, jails/prisons, public assistance in all its forms (excluding SS and Medicare), remedial education, etc., between the population A) above, and B) below the IQ average.
2) Divide all taxes paid between the same groups.
Would the result be that group A pays for nearly everything “public” and group B causes most of the spending? Group B does pay some sales, gasoline, and property taxes. There is basically a massive transfer of wealth from the more intelligent people to the less intelligent. There is much irony in that.
Those 10 million that have illegally come across the border from places like Venezuela, Haiti and Cuba should surely raise the IQ of America, right?
And now Biden wants to import even more from Palestine to increase the brain power of the U.S.
Obviously, the Democrats want more low IQ voters to increase their base.
Easy solution, lower the IQ scale like they have done with everything else.

I’d start with broken homes, few fathers, a culture that denigrates learning, and a drumbeat of low expectations. Oh, and lousy schools with a lousy curriculum and no social discipline in class just to pile on. In other words areas with generations of local democrats in charge.

Yes, importing turd world morons will drop the levels. Yes, not teaching the 3 Rs but shoving the latest PC trigger will lower the numbers. Letting students run wild and hiring dingbat teachers factors in. Villages can't raise kids but parents aren't doing the job, either. Having a strict ban on electronics would help tremendously. All that said, IQs have been dropping for at least a couple decades.
