In London they apprehended that maniac within 20 mins and in the U.S. they're busy dealing with protests across university campuses effectively it seems.
I think they've had a good week so far and I'm not one to praise them often. In fact, it's good to see a proportionate response I guess?
Sorry, the police do not deserve praise. Maybe blame that on management, but what we see over and over again is them standing by idle--what UCLA overnight, or the night before taking 3-hours to respond to 911 calls, etc. No, no praise for the police.
I am willing to bet there isn’t a single person arrested at any of these riots that will actually face a serious criminal charge.
So your criticism is they’re not cracking down as hard as they should?
i’m a bad person, looking at one of the videos, i wanted police to drag that screaming guy with the face on the pavement rather than gingerly picking him up.
perhaps a kick to the guts or two off the camera.

How are cops to blame for thst
Police vs courts. Age long battle ….
If they make one false step post-Chauvin, they’re in real hot water.
I think it’s a tough one...
Yes!
But standing around as props, that does not deserve praise.
Local Police? Yes.
FBI? - NO
U.S. Marshals? - NO
Federal government law enforcement officers are on the side of The Army of Communists (AOC).
Almost no probability that federal law enforcement officers, would arrest THE FACULTY AND STAFF OF UCLA, WHO ARE RINGLEADERS AND ORGANIZERS.
The Socialist Administrative State aka The Swamp, is on the side of The Army of Communists (AOC).
They’re not. That’s why I said they’re useless, not jerks.
and it was a very bad week in Charlotte this week for the local police
I was especially impressed with the big badass ticket-writer from the Georgia Highway Patrol who slammed that unsuspecting protester to the ground.
Generally, the biggest problem with the police is that they are agents of the state, which is the source of any problem.
I exclude bad apples out of hand. The cops here deserve praise for doing their job well.
Unfortunately, what we think their job is is not what the state thinks.
The leftist state wants to go easy on these protesters because they don’t want to harm their own.
MAGA folks, another story...
once again the “judicial” system gets a big thumbs down
many leave law enforcement early because of broken judges
Some great images on TV in the past few days of police tearing down encampments and taking out the trash (I.e. dumb kids, nazis, fakestinians, professional protesters, and other useless scum).
Wasn't aware that Biden was on a state visit.
Regards,
I have seen my thinking evolve on this type of reverence for different types of “public service” jobs since 9/11.
I think I will just support people choosing upholding the law without prejudice. I have come to the conclusion that ‘Back the Blue’ is just another slogan which has allowed the trash within their ranks to hide.
Here is why if you are interested.
First I jumped on Support the Troops, We love the NYPD / NYFD, and Boston Strong after terrorist attacks to support
Then I went on to declaring absolute support of the DOJ, FBI, and CIA. Shoot I bought and read numerous David Baldacci and Vince Flynn novels.
And then in Covid, I saw the media use the same method of promoting the employees to advance the cause. Remember how the teachers, doctors and nurses were almost canonized as they made choreographed dance videos?
I think I have been bamboozled enough by the “public SERVANT” to sit this one out.
Hard pass on the wish to deify a group of “public servants” again.
