Well, I apologize if I seemed condescending.
It is quite possible that you and I are arguing over semantics. And when people argue semantics, they are often confused over the way words are being used.
Even you and me.
I saW that but I don’t believe in that. There are other explanations for what they experienced than aliens. The alien stuff is lies.
I do not think all of these folks are intentionally lying.
They may not have fully understood what happened to them but that is a long distance from intentionally lying.
There are thousands and thousands of cases like these.
I believe it is an error to dismiss all of them as lies and nonsense.
My opinion is that there is a lot about our environment we do not understand—and clinging to our doctrines about what “must be” is not helping us learn.
Not particularly that post but that way of thinking seems to follow a pattern of not following a pattern. That is to say, seemingly erratic in thought and although it may make sense to the person saying it the meaning or connection is not well conveyed.
1.If aliens were advanced then they would know that herring preserved in wine sauce would not exist as everyone prefers sour cream.
2. Muscle duck would not be that total height when he is suddenly shortened by the barbell because the height of the bump on his head would be huge as they grow in direct proportion to energy the injury received.
3. If they put the bomp in the rama lama ding dong then would she bop she bop? No, aliens.

As for ‘open mind’ ...
I have met (and you likely have as well) people who adopt arrant nonsense, and then defend and promote it with extreme vigor. It’s the latest thing, you know ...
Stuff like “global warming is going to destroy us by the year 2000”, or “gun control will reduce crime” ...
These people are very open minded. As them, they’ll tell you all about it.

You raise very good point. They'll tell you they are very open-minded, but I have never met a more close-minded group of people in my life.
Those folks have their minds made up and they don't give a hoot what the evidence says unless it agrees with them.
If you have seen the show Star Trek, parts of its historical mythology is that Vulcans helped save man from his tendency for war and disease and deprivation.
That’s what I believe. They are driving the world into disaster and they will pretend to be our Savioiurs. Shows like Star Trek have set us up to be deceived.
