Rolling Thunder is a 1977 drama starring William Devane and Tommy Lee Jones who return home after being held captive as POWs in Vietnam. Unfortunately, their troubles are not over. Upon release, Rolling Thunder received praise for its action sequences, atmosphere, direction, music and cast performances, but was criticized for its pace and violent climax. This is a review of the new 4K Blu Ray version of the film.

I loved that movie. Intense.
I do. It’s so so. Devane doesn’t come off as an action actor.
I’ve got it on DVD. Watched it a couple of weeks ago.
Yes. I saw it on cable TV early 80’s along with the original Alien movie. Great movie.
I don’t remember ever seeing it.
Reminds me of that town in the Southern US.
Veterans came home from fighting and were astonished and disillusioned by the indifference and racism shown them and the blatant corruption in the local government. Ended up fighting a battle( s) there over it.
It’s on youtube free now. Not the best quality but it’s up:

Oh sorry....it’s in a different language. My bad.....

Correct.
And I don’t think racism was a factor, just government corruption including at the ballot box.
For some reason I liked this movie. Still one of my favorites. Don’t know why, but I like it!
It’s in Italian?
You are thinking of The Battle of Athens/McMinn County War in 1946?
