Old School Memes from FReepers Past
Posted on 04/04/2024 8:11:10 AM PDT by RasterMaster
Before I even knew what a "meme" was, I remember discovering the most incredible ones and knowing exactly who crafted them. Since then, many of their names have escaped me in the span of time. As I reflect on over 20 years since joining FR, I'm reminded of members who are no longer with us (due to bans or departures) but whose art shaped much of our common history.
Calling all our long-standing members! Do any of you recall specific names or have memorable examples from our community's golden era, spanning from the late 1990s to 2010? Share your stories and treasures from the past!

What got me on this topic was seeing an image from Baghdad Bob and I remembered the abysmal job they did with other Crisis Actors, like Green Helmet Guy....

You’re welcome.
I remember the army surplus store that used to be in town had a couple of Sore-Loserman t-shirts on the shelf, well after 2001.

We had an awesome “SoreLoserman” rally at Times Square in NYC - that was a blast!

I remember when we were active, getting out and protesting, the regular White House FReeps, SoreLoserman 2000. I spent countless hours on a corner in Albuquerque for many hours over many weekends with other FReepers, waving flags and SoreLoserman signs, talking and generally sharing the comraderie.
Today, we wait for Q to tell us what is going to happen next, don't worry, trust the plan, stay home and be complacent. Sad that it's worked so well.

Eschoir. I’d forgotten Eschoir.
Liberal disruptor as I recall.
Ash Alert I always remembered.

It was Registered who pointed me to this site. Not sure where he is now.

LOL! I’ve been looking for that one for the last half-hour! One with the BOMB MAGNET in her arms was choice!

I created Bomb Magnet a very long time ago. Poor lady had 72 houses blown up and 244 children killed by Israel or the US.

I’m unsure where it originated or who may have been the first to use it here, but...
“Not guilty” is used as a way of saying someone (usually a female) accused of a crime is too attractive to be held responsible even if she (or he) did it.

I knew I could count on FReepers for dredging up these great BLASTS FROM THE PAST! I’ve so wanted to use her likeness so many times! Thanks, Dead!
