A newly transplanted liberal in Florida described being triggered by patriotism as she tried to make new friends.
The young woman in the video with thousands of views described the difficulty she has had in making new friends since moving to St. Petersburg, a city on Florida’s Gulf Coast.
While she admits she loves the weather and St. Pete is “beautiful,” the woman soon shares her dilemma.
“However, it has been hard to make friends which is natural as an adult,” she said. “It’s really difficult. I work from home, I live alone.”
She explained how she downloaded the Meetup social media app and went to an event where she “met a lot of cool people” and exchanged numbers with others. One other “super cute, fun” woman then invited her to watch a UFC fight at a sports bar.
all her liberal followers must have gasped at this moment as she made it quite clear that “you don’t need to know me to know that’s not really my scene.”
“I start thinking, you know, Hemingway liked to fight. Maybe, some of these people are also really into classic literature,” she said, adding “that was really sweet of me to think.”
She soon concluded that it basically “looked like a frat party” but the worst was yet to come for her as she shared that conversations with the girls she met up with were “leaning conservative.”
The breakdown began, however, as the “entire sports bar” erupted into chants of “USA! USA!” when former President Donald Trump showed up on the television screens as he had attended the fight.
She described herself “floating above my body” at that moment, “watching from above going how the f— did this happen?'”
“Trying to stay calm. Trying to act normal,” she said. “I called an Uber almost immediately. I almost started crying in the bar.”
Her storytelling garnered sympathy from her like-minded liberals on social media but the young woman found mostly mockery over her dramatics.
Poor widdle snowflake. She should move back to New York City where she can get punched out in the street or attacked on the subway.

You know what the sad part is?
St Petersburg is actually gotten a lot more liberal over the last 20 years. no, it’s not Palm Beach or Fort Lauderdale - but there should be more than enough liberals there (or over in Tampa) for her.
I’d hate to see her in a city like Pensacola, Naples or a lot of Jacksonville.

Think about this for a minute. Imagine an opposite scenario. A deplorable young woman moves to San Diego, the weather is wonderful, the beaches are wonderful. She makes a friend on Meetup, who invites her to a poetry reading. She thinks, well I don’t read much poetry but warriors have been poets, and all hymns are poems, so I’ll give it a whirl. She gets there, and after a while realizes that every person there is non-binary in some way, most are vegans, posters of Castro and Che and Mao garnish the walls, and then on the video screen appears Rosa DeLauro, who is a long-time member of the national womyn poet society that this meeting is connected with. How does she react? One of two ways: either she puts down her drink, blurts BULLS##T! and leaves, or she sits there, listens to the rest of the meeting, and then writes a description of it to all of her Meetup people, instantly culling the lionesses from the hyenas. She wouldn’t break down and cry, she wouldn’t go through anxiety attacks, she wouldn’t experience weeks of depression. That is a major difference between us and them.
She only needs one friend, a psychologist.
Yes, she should just pack up and move to Commiefornia or Eurabia like a good little socialista.
That’s right.
Liberals, when life isn’t following their idea of Utopia 100%, take to social media. Nearly always as a victim, and in many cases embellishing or outright lying about circumstances.
So why did she move to Florida?

interesting how the most shallow folks are the liberal minded. lived near st.pete when the median age was 76 and it carried the nickname “God’s waiting room”. she sure isn’t from around them parts.
Watched the rant. I used to live in St. Pete — I went to college in St. Pete — it’s an UBER liberal city. My alma mater, Eckerd College is there. It’s across the bay from Tampa. All of my good friends in Tampa are UBER LIBERAL (which is hilarious, because I’m the token conservative who blows their minds that I’m even more out there in ways than THEY are...)
She is in the most liberal part of Florida aside from Miami — just go to a few poetry readings in Ybor or at the college... you’ll be fine sweety.
