Rachel Berg, 18, was speeding in her brand-new Chevy Corvette on a Mesa highway about 10:30 p.m. March 12 when she rear-ended a Harley-Davidson being ridden by Michael Clark, 46, a Tempe park ranger...
Berg pulled over and tried to perform CPR on the fallen biker but he died at the scene — then told police she couldn’t stop in time before ramming the Hog, AZ Family said.
Data from her car’s airbag control module reportedly indicated that she had been traveling at 155 mph five seconds before impact and 87 mph when she struck the bike after slamming on the brakes.

One of the most certain ways to destroy your kids is to give them the world on a silver platter without them having to put forth any effort.
They will spend the rest of their lives with a raging sense of entitlement waiting for everyone else to take care of them.
This girl’s parents set her up to fail spectacularly in every possible way (not the least of which was giving her a car she was completely unqualified to drive). It’s too bad that it ended up claiming someone else’s life.
“”I would bet most of us have driven over 90mph,””

I would agree to most but I’m not sure that they
would do it very much. It depends to some extent
where they are as conditions very with the landscape
and traffic. jmo.
Condolences to the man’s family.
“Data from her car’s airbag control module” Is that what they are calling the government mandated spy monitor?
A Civic can kill just as fast a Corvette. It's not the vehicle that's at fault, it's the driver.
Me. Never under the influence.
Speed limit in Texas often is 80 mph
So what? It's not the car, it's the driver.
You can kill or be killed in a Prelude as fast as a Corvette.
How many died in that Prelude?
The new Vettes look reallllllly cool. Daddy!
I have.
On the Autobahn......................
The Autobahn in Germany is AWESOME!..................
I wonder if Ms. Berg has a similar recent driving record. And, if so, the cops and her parents let her skate...
Driving a car reveals one’s character.
Honestly, if you were 18, with a new Corvette, on a freeway near Mesa Arizona...
If you buy your 18 year old daughter a brand new red corvette it’s because she’s not getting the attention you think she should be getting.
I mean….she’s your daughter and she should be getting tons of attention.
Her parents contributed to this.
I’d like to know where you can buy a new Corvette for $60K.
“Data from her car’s airbag control module reportedly indicated that she had been traveling at 155 mph five seconds before impact and 87 mph when she struck the bike...”
Also very disturbing part of the story
At least one.
“At least one.”
Male/Female?
Age?
