Rachel Berg, 18, was speeding in her brand-new Chevy Corvette on a Mesa highway about 10:30 p.m. March 12 when she rear-ended a Harley-Davidson being ridden by Michael Clark, 46, a Tempe park ranger...
Berg pulled over and tried to perform CPR on the fallen biker but he died at the scene — then told police she couldn’t stop in time before ramming the Hog, AZ Family said.
Data from her car’s airbag control module reportedly indicated that she had been traveling at 155 mph five seconds before impact and 87 mph when she struck the bike after slamming on the brakes.

She must have been stoned to have survived the impact.
Reminds me of “porsche girl” who got smashed running into a toll booth at 110+ mph. Dad sued when EMTs took grisly photos of the deceased.
“155 mph five seconds before impact and 87 mph when she struck the bike after slamming on the brakes.”
Pretty good brakes. Factor in 2 seconds perception/reaction time and that makes a 68 mile an hour speed reduction within the space of three seconds, yes?
if she was going the speed limit she would have being going -3 MPH at the time of impact. (assuming a 65 MPH speed limit)
Last line of the article:
*** Berg’s mother told the outlet that the tragedy also has been tough for her family.***
Hey, Mama, shouldn’t you have put some boundaries on your daughter long before now? Use tough love if you have to. It’s way better than what you’re dealing with now.
Kids living life in the fast lane often learn difficult lessons.
Parents, if you want to increase your teens chances of death or killing someone else, give them that $60k sports car for their sweet sixteen. They will only use it in the most mature manner and respect it more since it wasnt their hard earned money that bought it. (Do I need a sarc tag?)
Shoot her to death on the side of the road.
Leave the corpse for the buzzards.

Let them have a somewhat older car, get used to driving more. It will build ability. It will build CHARACTER.
Then when they're a little older, they'll be more capable and responsible as a driver.
HANG HER!!
Giving a car that powerful to an 18 year old
DUMB
Yeah she could speed in any car but those things are truly powerful
HORRIBLE PARENTS!
“Or drunk. How many of us have ever driven a car over 90mph let alone 155mph?”
In much of Wyoming and Montana 90mph is an acceptable speed when the conditions allow for it.
Myself the fastest I’ve ever driven a car is about 130mph and that was just once and for a short stretch on a very straight road with no one else in sight for miles.
“””then told police she couldn’t stop in time”””
No kidding!
Give her 50 years in prison to see if she can figure out why.
If kids want to do 155 mph in their dad’s Corvette, there are plenty of tracks where they can book time with dad’s money. It’s safe, it’s fun, it’s very educational and they won’t endanger anyone. There’s no need to subject people trying to get from point A to point B on public roads to their stupidity.
Parents rich enough to buy her a Corvette are rich enough to make sure nothing happens to her. Just wait.
Brembo or Willwood brakes?
What was her father thinking when he got her a Vette at 18. Should have had a Honda Civic or something similar.
