A few days ago, I listed an unused and unopened bottle of Aunt Jemima syrup for sale on eBay. I have a couple of these that I purchased in 2020 during the BLM riots and the assault on American culture. I had no idea what the level of interest would be for this. But I was mildly to start getting bids right away and the bidding price reached $38 at one point. I noticed a problem with eBay right away as they would allow to use the words or term "Aunt Jemima". So, I had to list it as "AJ Syrup" and used the word "discontinued". I discovered this morning that eBay cancelled the auction. "This listing has a policy violation.". Good grief. I'm not really surprised but this is so stupid. I don't know if will work but I posted the link to the auction if you want to see it. What was my "crime" here?
Lol!
Remember the Sambo’s coffee shops?
From wikipedia:
“Sambo’s was an American restaurant chain, started in 1957 by Sam Battistone Sr. and Newell Bohnett in Santa Barbara, California.”
I did mention it was expired. I don’t expect anyone would have actually used it. I think some people just want to have it as a collection item.
I refuse to purchase any of that stuff after it was relabeled.
There are black people who actively collect racist toys and other antiques.
From the Jim Crow Museum website for example.

Hahahahaha
My soap mug for shaving is a Sambos coffee cup.
Hilarious
...oddly enough, nobody who has used that bathroom ever called me a racist.
So the Woketards haven’t yet targeted the ‘white, patriarchal, religious bigot’ on the Quaker Oats label? But 🤫 shhhhhhhhh.
Does the bottle have a best by or an expiration date which has passed? That is probably the reason it was pulled.
...then again...
I’m also the guy with a Bonnie Blue flag patch on my trucker’s cap.
NOBODY even knows what it is.
...
There are plenty of the same for sale. I just looked.
Relatives of former Aunt Jemima spokeswomen say they are concerned that their family history will be erased as Quaker Oats' moves to rebrand the syrup and pancake mix.
"I understand the images that white America portrayed us years ago. They painted themselves Black and they portrayed that as us," Vera Harris, whose great aunt, Lillian Richard, traveled the country promoting the Quaker Oats brand and portraying the Aunt Jemima character for more than 20 years, told NBC News. "I understand what Quaker Oats is doing because I'm Black and I don't want a negative image promoted, however, I just don't want her legacy lost, because if her legacy is swept under the rug and washed away, it's as if she never was a person."
Harris added that Richard was recruited to work for Quaker Oats in the 1920s, during a time when there were "no jobs for Black people, especially Black women."
"She took the job to make an honest living to support herself, touring around at fairs, cooking demonstrations and events," Harris said. "When she came back home, they were proud of her and we're still proud of her."

Well, I just meant that Ebay may refuse old food items when they catch them.
The most likely reason for you not being able to use the name is because the owner/maker of that syrup has let Ebay and other such sites know they will issue a cease and desist based on their ownership of the trademark “Aunt Jemima”.

Looking at all the ones currently on Ebay, I think you’re right. They all say, ‘Pancake Syrup’ in the listing; even though Aunt Jemima is pictured on the image of the bottle, the name of the product isn’t used.
Google is Marx.
Yet, people (including more than 50% of GOP officialdom) continue to trust . . . Marxists:

Sell it on Amazon instead.
There is a very serious problem that’s spreading in the USA. It’s a mental disorder that causes a company to cancel a sale because the label on a product shows an image that some have decided is injurious to some people.
No human with a working mind could possibly do such a thing. There is no cure for this kind of insanity.
As lastchance in post 53 states, it’s probably a copyright/trademark issue. All the others listed do have the image, so that’s not the problem - it’s using the trademark in the listing text.
My maternal grandmother had an Aunt Jemima syrup dispenser. She would warm the syrup & pour it in. Just enough syrup for one pancake but that’s what grandmothers do. Been looking for one for years but you just don’t find them. AJ was a comforting part of my childhood.
