Ukraine War Map Shows Russian Offensive Stalling After Avdiivka Win
Newsweek ^ | 3/11/2024 | David Brennan

The recent advance of Russian forces on Ukraine's eastern front appears to be slowing as Kyiv's embattled units establish new defensive lines following the fall of Avdiivka last month.

Ukrainian troops appear to have avoided a feared collapse of local defensive lines following their withdrawal from Avdviivka in February, after years of tough fighting over the fortified Donetsk settlement in the east of the country. Russian forces scored limited advances at other points along the Donetsk front, though this has not precipitated a breakthrough of Ukrainian lines there.

The Institute for the Study of War's Sunday update of the battlefield situation reported continued "positional engagements" but no significant Russian gains.

The New York Times reported this weekend that Russia's slow advance has become bogged down around the Donetsk villages of Berdychi, Orlivka and Tonenke where the open ground beyond Avdiivka has made assaults more difficult. Kyiv has reportedly drafted in some of its best units to head off the Russian thrust here, including some armed with American-made armored vehicles and tanks.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for thwarting, if not stopping, the evil of communism

I read stuff like this, and it just kills me how stupid people are. You might want to see which country is actually closer to communism. Hint, its the one that does not have elections, outlaws political parties, Outlaws religions, outlaws journalists and imprisons those that speak ill of it's leaders.

Whose trust are we abusing? Freedom's trust? Not at all, we are far more concerned about the loss of American freedom, and yes, we care more about our families than we do Europe who like us is also committing suicide.

If we save ourselves it might inspire Europe to do the same for itself.

Ukraine played a major role in getting themselves into this conflict. While none of you Zeepers will admit it, the people of Ukraine would much rather see this conflict end, because the war is destroying them, and you fools think you are helping them.

Grow a brain. That's what the world needs more of, not killing. Ukraine will not win, unless the EU & NATO commit troops they haven't a chance to win at all. They never had a chance to win, it was a fool's errand from the GetGo. But what the result from that would be the start of World War III, guaranteed. Then the killing expands exponentially.

Ukraine is down to 25% of what it needs for artillery. The only relative abundance, is for some American -supplied 155mm guns.

Russia is now routinely picking off Ukraine anti-air missile systems in Ukraine - within 55 Km of the front.

Russia is probing along the north-northeast border between Russia and Ukraine.

As long as you're OK with fighting to The Last Ukrainian Alive, I'm OK with it, too.

We can round up the Uke Nazis here in America and send 'em to the front for Cannon Fodder.

That will get rid of all the Ukes in America!

The danger is that socialism most always devolves into communism as people, behaving as, well, people do, begin to resist the mild tyranny of socialism and must be reined in with the vise of communism. It’s not a fairytale ending, y’know.

Ukraine will not win, unless the EU & NATO commit troops they haven't a chance to win at all.

If that happens Ukraine is ground zero in the next world war. Good luck with them surviving "winning" that war.

The corrupted Ukie government is out of money, out of manpower, out of ammunition, internal population down to 20-24 million, more than half of the country’s infrastructure destroyed, exports down to nothing, manufacturing base destroyed….

Time to accept the fact they are spent…… broke, busted and disgusted…..no amount of Western welfare can save them…..and senile Joe appears to be getting ready to “ Afghanistan “ them….another good lesson to be learned by following senile Joe and his war cheerleaders.

Great post.

I think more people would perhaps accept reality if the US stopped paying Ukrainian government wages and pensions. As long as the US drains her treasury to prop up the Ukrainian government, the MSM will continue to deny reality.

Marcus and his zeeper pals don’t care if the taxpayers of this country are stripped of every cent they have.

According to a Feb. 2023 report by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), we are funding the salaries of 618,000 Ukrainian educators, 517,000 health workers, and 56,500 first responders.

We are paying to sustain Ukraine’s critical healthcare services, meet its pension responsibilities for 9.8 million people, assist 1.3 million internally displaced persons, provide housing assistance to 4.1 million people, and provide social assistance to 240,000 low-income families and 480,000 persons with disabilities.

We subsidize Ukraine’s small businesses, buy seeds and fertilizer for Ukrainian farmers and fund divers who clear unexploded ammunition from the country’s rivers to make them safe again for swimming and fishing.

Americans pay to secure Ukraine’s borders while millions of welfare seeking barbarians and terrorists flood through ours.

But the only thing that matters to zeepers is “Slava Ukraini!”

That's like telling a rape victim that it was her fault for being a woman. Jeeeezus, get a life.

Could it be because the spring thaw has begun, and off-road movement is extremely difficult?

Not even close. They started attacking Ukrainian Russian speaking citizens & denying them rights, as well as, the right to work in government jobs that they had held for decades. But low-information fools like yourself don't know anything beyond, Russia invaded Ukraine, like the zombies that you all have proven that you are.

But I see you failed to answer my question as to who we are abusing with regards to trust.
