The city of Denver is shutting several of its migrant shelters and officials are asking local property owners to house some of the “newcomers” who need a place to stay...
“A lot of those posts have now been replaced by, hey, I now need to furnish my apartment, what do I do? And so it’s a good problem to have when that’s what you’re running into,” Ewing said...
The move comes after a Massachusetts couple last month volunteered to take in illegal immigrants and was surprised when a family of four showed up at the doorstep less than an hour after signing up. Earlier this year, Johnston predicted that the migrant crisis would cost the city around $180 million. He previously told Fox News that the city was “very close” to a breaking point due to the crisis and announced the city was cutting $5 million from public services while pinning the blame on Republicans and former President Donald Trump.

Millions of illegals have to live somewhere. This is driving up rent and home prices for normal people.
You can fit thirteen Salvadoran gang members in this house!
I have a septic repair coming up that will require me to get a loan. Maybe I can get some of these Salvadoran gang members to do the work for free! /s
Here’s a novel idea: send them home.
The homeowners will have no recourse if the “renters” trash the place or steal things.
It is quite clear, given how vigorously government employees have encouraged illegals to come here, that they will do their utmost to provide legal help to the illegals who may have squatted, overstayed their welcome, committed crimes, etc.
Hell will freeze over first.
Doing this won’t stop the problem as long as more illegals are pouring in over the border.
The sanctuary cities asked for it. It’s THEIR problem to deal with, not mine.
I would be glad to rent to them if they have a photo ID proving citizenship and a rental history that can be verified, as well as an income statement and some prior receipts with their names on them.
They make this request after the city and state has passed so many anti-private property, anti-landlord legislation?
Residential rental property license now the law for all units
As of Jan. 1, it is the law in Denver for any residential rental property offered for rent for 30 days or more to have a residential rental license. The licensing program is part of Denver’s drive to achieve minimum housing standards.

And week after that, instead of taking them in, you get a knock on your door saying, “Get out, privileged American. This house is being given to some more deserving newcomers.”
If they are pleading, then probably there are still a few sane people in Denver.
“asking local property owners to house some of the “newcomers” who need a place to stay...”
How about requiring the city council members, the mayor and the mayor’s staff to accept at least one illegal family into their house?
If that’s not enough, -the homes of anyone who voted forthem and also used the term “racist” or “nativist” to describe anyone who disagreed with them.
And then lets have Texas and Florida send 100,000 more. Those A$$holes should finally pay some price for their virtue signaling and self-righteous crap.
