Even with her sunny reputation in comedy, Carol Burnett knows she’s at times taken things too far.
The actress, 90, cited an incident when she was touring with her famous Q&A act on the road in a new Harper’s Bazaar interview. Shortly after 9/11, someone in the audience asked if Burnett could be a member of the opposite sex for 24 hours, who would she be and what would she do.
“I said, ‘I’d be Osama bin Laden, and I’d kill myself,’ ” Burnett recalled. She noted that the situation is one that she very much regrets.

Carol Burnett is the funniest female comedian alive today.
She’s also wonderful is straight dramatic roles like her appearance at the end of “Better Call Saul.”

I grew up watching her and always thought her as very talented and funny. Selleck must have met her so as to say that. Lucky dog.
I wouldn’t say she is “stunning” but she looks very good for 90. I’ve always thought she was a lovely woman and she is hands down one of the funniest comediennes of all time.

She was in an episode of Magnum P.I. She played a bank teller locked in an elevator with him.
It is my OPINION that Fran Drescher is ten times funnier than Carol and I was a BIG Carol fan.
The Nanny is the closest thing to hilarious in the series.
But I hate her politics.
Youtube has many women “comics” talking about graphic sex.
Some appear on the late night talk shows.
None are funny and will be forgotten as the years go by.

I don’t think that was going to far; it was perfect. And hilarious.
Ugh. Couldn’t stand listening to Drescher at all. Would have no idea if she was funny.
She’s had a LOT of work and practically has a goatee!!
