A Delta pilot has gone viral after he delivered a wild speech detailing the incredibly strict 'rules' that he requires passengers to follow during a flight - while referring to himself as a 'servant leader.'
The man, whose identity is not known, sparked fierce backlash after a video of him sharing the vast list of regulations that he 'needed everyone' on the aircraft 'to obey' surfaced on Instagram.
In the clip, the pilot could be seen relaying his orders to the travelers over the plane's intercom system.
He began by describing himself as the 'servant leader' and 'the captain of the ship.'

Yeah some others agree with you. But then many are easily offended today in this soft entitled society.
Double Woohoo!!!
πππππππππππ
everyone knows what the Captain’s authority is so don’t be a smartass
The fact of the matter is that this one was so full of self importance as to come out and face, i.e. confront, the passengers like some kind of power trip jerk that everyone noticed.
99.9% of Captains make announcements from the cockpit and are polite about it, and boarding announcements both automated or by FAs state the requirements to follow crewmember instructions.
Smart ass?
Take deep breaths, pal.
“Are there any questions?”
iow “I’m the badass, gotta problem wid it?”
I prefer the pilot who said, on one of my flights years ago, things like, “I am your wide bodied pilot for today’s flight. Our arrival in MSP will be approximately 11:45. For you executives, that means that the big hand will be on 11 and the little hand on 9,” and so on.
That was wonderful!
Maybe he flies the Atlanta to Las Vegas route frequently.
if the shoe fits, pal
actually the big hand wil be on 9 and the little hand on 11
(:
I’m an executive!
;)
So , privately you say youβre not my pal but publicly you say I am your pal.
I think Iβm going to go ahead and call off our friendship now.
Seek help.

There’s an old nautical saying that also applies to the captain of an airliner.
“He might not be God but he’ll do until God gets here.”
“Leadership is about submission to duty, not elevation to power.” - Gordon Tootoosis Cree & Nakoda (Stoney)
“It is not his plane.”
In the context of his remarks, I think it actually IS his plane while he’s Captain.
The opposite?
Iβm an executive! ;)
Some odds and ends. Have a great week.
busy weekend,ah yes where were we?
one was mocking/sarc
can you guess which?
A proper title would be βEntitled Instagram User Freaked Out By Normal Flight Instructions.β The pilot did fine. We just live in mad times where stupid peopleβs opinions are given way too much attention.
