Bible in a Year :
He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.
Before Charles Simeon attended university in Cambridge, England, he loved horses and clothes, spending a huge sum on his attire yearly. But because his college required him to attend regular Communion services, he started to explore what he believed. After reading books written by believers in Jesus, he experienced a dramatic conversion on Easter Sunday. Awaking early on April 4, 1779, he cried out, “Jesus Christ is risen today! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!” As he grew in his faith in God, he devoted himself to Bible study, prayer, and attending chapel services.
On the first Easter, life changed for the two women who arrived at Jesus’ tomb. There they witnessed a violent earthquake as an angel rolled back the stone. He said to them, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said” (Matthew 28:5–6). Overjoyed, the women worshiped Jesus and ran back to tell their friends the good news.
Encountering the risen Christ isn’t something reserved for ancient times—He promises to meet us here and now. We might experience a dramatic encounter, such as the women at the tomb or as Charles Simeon did, but we might not. In whatever way Jesus reveals Himself to us, we can trust that He loves us. .
Reflect & Pray
How has God shown Himself to you? How have you changed because of your encounter with Him?
Risen Jesus, thank You for coming and dying on the cross that I might have life eternal. I worship You.

He is risen, indeed.
And life is worth the living, just because He lives.
It’s so simple, isn’t it?
It’s a spiritual war, requiring a spiritual solution. And there is only one.
‘Vaccine lettuce’ bill, aiming to classify food containing a vaccine as a drug, passes in Tennessee
Good for them, I’m sure it was my email that triggered this.
Just kidding, I’m surprised I even had to write an email. Disappointed actually
The more the last do crazy things the more scared I get for the election. Because they are obviously not even going after votes or trying to appear reasonable for their base. They are doing everything they can to alienate their Base by going after these Fringe groups.
I’m afraid they know that they’re going to win, by cheating.
lol, great catch there! you have a good memory to remember that pic
Beautiful norsky, happy Easter to you and yours!
CULINARY CORNER (Judy’s not Dolly’s lol)
So, compared to Dolly’s, my dinner is likely boring, but I’ll share it anyway.....wondering what everyone else is doing! I just put the cobbler in the oven. The dessert, not the fixer of shoes. That would be mean.
Beef tenderloin, and we’re going to try the slathered in mayo this year (hope it looks as good as yours did, Spunky!) to hold the spices.
Garlic mashed potatoes. Broccoli, corn, salad. Lots of gravy rich with drippings and red wine. Yorkshire puddings, made by Ava because she does them just right!
Dessert....pecan pie, pumpkin pie, peach cobbler with caramel drizzle, and vanilla ice-cream to complement all.
Roll home, fall into bed, may or may not bother to put on jammies lol. Actually, I will, as I don’t know how anyone can sleep in their clothes. Hmmm, maybe I’ll just wear my jammies to Easter dinner!
Are they actually poisoning your food with this stuff? That is unreal.
Happy Easter lysie, thank you for all you do.
Hugs
Happy Easter you deplorables!!!
That sounds delicious! Enjoy.
I actually have little planned. Took out a rope sausage yesterday and didn’t have it so that’ll be the meat. Now that hubby is doing low carb I don’t cook full meals anymore. I just have what I feel like having at the time.

They must be or there wouldn’t be the need for a bill against it in individual states. I think we are late to the party as many have already passed this. Of course I don’t expect the left to even obey laws. I’m growing my own lettuce. Speaking of which, I need to go water it.
Was that really Bill Maher?
I had to watch to make sure.
With his first comment about how closing schools would damage children, he said thank you before the applause. And then he said don’t be afraid. And then he said something about the mainstream media!
is it really him?
Happy Easter to all!
Judy that meal you’ll be sharing with family sounds really nice. I’ve never done the Mayo/ spice prep. Let us know how it turns out. And my !!! three great desserts!
Son and I both slept in as neither of us slept much last night
So far I just had some cheese to eat. Jeff again with stomach issues and might not eat. So no fancy meal here. Have quite a bit in freezer that I can whip up for him quickly. I’ll have some soup and maybe small salad later,
Growing up we always had big family get togethers. Parents each had 6 siblings. We would start at my moms mom for lunch and spend a few hours and then to my dads parents for longer time frame. It was a more relaxed visit there. Moms mother lived with oldest daughter who never married. OCD to the extreme. House museum like. Definitely not kid friendly. Grandma was widowed in her early 40s with seven kids!. Both side Slovak and a LOT of food.
This was repeated every holiday and mothers and Father’s Day.
I don’t believe we ever had a holiday with just our core family of four
